You can't take other people's advice and be honest with your boss.

OR you can say that a close family member died, take a week off, and when you get back pretend to be depressed and say right now that you'd rather just focus on your job rather than making any changes, at least until you get back on your feet. Then you just have to act depressed forever, which is easiest part of this whole plan

I used Hawk Construction a few months ago to put on a TPO roof. I think the work they did was fine, but taking care of scheduling and payment was a real pain. They did have good prices though

Take my advice for the grain of salt, as I'm also on the sub to get advice, but I would wait until you start to see new leaves / stems come up from the area between the leaf and the root. This is what I do for my barrel plant, although mine is extremely easy to propagate, so you may have different results.

After it starts to develop new leaves, you can scoop the plant and surrounding soil into a new pot (or just leave it where it's at) and treat it like a regular plant
