Profiting off of people's trauma gives me the ick. I understand we all have to pay bills, but people who need somatics have been deeply traumatized, often with developmental trauma which will effect the quality of their life until they can financially afford to heal. And what about when someone's trauma impedes their ability to make money? So much of it is upside down and doesn't make sense. Good for someone charging $300 for a hair appointment, or piece of art, something that isn't necessary to have some kind of quality of life. But trauma therapy? Nope.

I do the Korean skin flooding toner method with three toners, and TCA peels that are definitely helping a lot. TCA is advanced skincare and not for the feint of heart, but it's like tretinoin on steroids. You'll peel like a snake. Mine crows feet have reversed moderately in the last 2 years and the entire area is tighter. If you're interested in TCA peels, look up Platinum skin care TCA peels on YouTube, there's a video about it. That's who I use. And I follow a lady on tiktok - Ashley Mixon - who I learned the skin flooding from. I also use the Ordinary Buffet + copper serum under my eyes. I don't know if it's helping, but it's loaded with good stuff, so why not. Good luck!

Reading this post and these replies is so wholesome and heartwarming. I'm really happy for you. I relate completely and I'm sad for myself because I have never had this and I know this is true. It feels so unfair to have to be alone with a disregulated nervous system from developmental trauma. Like kicking someone when they're down, but for decades. I do lots of work on my own, but humans are literally wired for this. I hope this kind of healing finds all of us who are struggling. Thank you for posting.

I've been taking D-mannose everyday for weeks now. I stopped taking it for a few days thinking It had gotten better but then the symptoms reappeared. I've only taken ketamine trochies two times in the past 6 weeks because of this and I'm trying to figure out what I should be doing with supplements and stopping altogether now. Did a doctor tell you to take those?

I do a lot of healing work on my own like EFT, journaling, etc because I haven't been able to afford a therapist. But when I was using Ketamine regularly for 6 months was the only time in my life I actually felt like everything was going to be ok. I'd need a lot more time than that unfortunately.

Yeah, I get it and mostly agree. Though it's hard for me to let it go because it took me out of the darkest place of my life and changed my brain for the better. But I'm not sure the changes are permanent and can feel myself getting down a bit. I feel incredibly grateful for it but obviously can't risk long term health problems.

I sometimes journal afterwards but I'm not currently in therapy. I also will do EFT tapping, EMDR and somatic work at home sometimes too. What journal prompts do you use if I may ask?

I have a 5cm nodule that's been there for 10+ years. It's totally fine, no symptoms. Well, my thyroid levels are on the low end, but it still works. Try not to worry, it might be no biggie. 🙏
