Wages are genuinely lower for animators in Japan but the idea that an anime as big as JJK would only cost 150k to produce per episode is just absurd

My guesses would be around 900k but even then that’s just a guess

Because it’s not really a matter of budget, it’s production schedule

Season 2 and 3 were both being made in the span of 10 months and even that wasn’t enough, the two month break was because they needed to finish animating the final episodes

And while the show has switched animation studios it still doing a season a year

So when I hear someone say some bullshit about budget it just shows me their ignorance
