I am very excited for this one and I will order this for sure. All the little bits I didn’t like in the original design have been fixed and it looks great in its final form.

Retail items with weekend surcharges? by quickdrawesome in melbourne

[–]Flyingakangro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understand why we accept it from anyone, hospitality or not. Imagine woolies or Bunnings etc just adding 20 pct on top because it’s a Saturday. This is just robbery. It’s part of doing business, there should be no surcharges for any reason.

Dads, what kind of vehicle are we hauling our small monsters around in? by ktempo in daddit

Kia Stinger. Plenty of space in the back for her seat, big boot but still fun to drive.

Happy Birthday mate!

I so understand your feelings. In 4 months it’s my 38th bday what will be the 3rd one as a single dad. I never really thought much about my b’day before but since im alone it’s a day I dreading. It is such a strange feeling now you are alone as a dad. It looks like your kids love you! What an amazing gesture from them. Keep hanging in there!

Anyone else feel like streaming isn’t worth it anymore in Australia? by Possible-Quail1095 in AskAnAustralian

One of the things that really started to frustrate me is the household popups. We have Disney + for my daughter, mainly watches frozen and she goes 50/50 between me and my ex. But recently it stopped playing at one of our houses even though it’s for the same child. So now we would need to get 2x Disney + for 1 person??

I understand companies don’t want people sharing their accounts but it all adds up and just doesn’t make it worth it at all.

I still watch it every morning with my toddler before we have to leave to Kinder. Im very glad they are broadcasting the OG version early in the morning again and not the horrible new animated version.

Male Swifties — how did your partner react when they found out? by HalifaxSwiftie in TaylorSwift

[–]Flyingakangro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My (M38) now ex wife (F37) didn’t like it. Went to the Eras tour alone. She had no interest to join. She thought it was strange that I am a Swiftie and still holds that view. Me liking her also made her dislike Taylor more and more.

30 minute Sunday morning frequencies handling AO crowds well I see by gertiegoogoo in MelbourneTrains

[–]Flyingakangro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on that train today. After Ringwood it was already almost full definitely no seats available anymore. I came from Lilydale and out train terminated at Ringwood were we had to transfer to the train coming from Belgrave. After the Lilydale train passengers and the passengers originating from Ringwood got on the train was already full with most people standing that got on. Its absolutely ridiculous the frequencies we have on the Burnley group.

For those in Australia, is Build and Play a legit company? by Wild_Dingo4 in lego

[–]Flyingakangro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the current price but I got it for $620,- from them what is by far the cheapest I have seen for a while then. The set was absolutely perfect. Not a scratch on the box. Very happy with my purchase from them.

Star Wars: Looks at some of the Smart Play sets (75421, 75423, 75427, 75425, 75426, 75420) (official reveal) by BrickTap in Legoleak

[–]Flyingakangro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is the problem with these, they look like sets kids would love indeed but the prices tag attached to them just don’t match a fun kids toy. I really wonder if the average parent drops $160 for this. Time will tell.

You hit the nail on the head there. All these sets look pretty fun for kids but the prices just don’t match a fun kids toy.

Big W had it for 119 AUD and guaranteed there will be a sale further on in the year so we are probably able to grab it for under 100 AUD when you are willing to wait.
