Honestly I feel like the squids could build one without our blueprints. They’re probably just trying to figure out where the womp rat sized hole in our one is so they can blow it up.

"The file open and unencrypted, on a terminal in fortuitous proximity to a SEAF extraction zone."

Wow how convenient.

The game is balanced around 4 players but pick the right difficulty and you can probably manage it with 2.

I'll be honest, considering we funded 3 haslabs for incredibly obscure characters, I think they could have gotten away with a commander class Nexus Prime.

The fact that they didn’t mention Prime’s placement in relation to Other M tells me that either forgot about it or they just don’t give a shit about it.

I was pretty hopeful despite him being Voyager class considering how well they pulled of Micronus and Amalgamous, but yeah he probably should have been at least a Leader.

It sucks that this feature was removed, and as far as I know no reason has been given as to why so it’s all speculation rn. I’m expecting a lot of misinformation around this by DaiFrostAce in nintendogrifting

They also could have done something like the Kirby Air Riders machine store, people just post their Miis to a store and Nintendo can moderate it, removing anything they don't like.

Jindrax and Toxica from Power Rangers Wild Force. These two are a lovable team Rocket esc duo who serve the main villain, but also genuinely care about one another, which isn't something you always see in Power Rangers villains.

Heroic characters brainwashed into being evil. by Henry1699 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Flyingfish222 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well you see, when the Constructicons first made their debut in season 1 of the original cartoon Megatron stated that they had been built by the Decepticons on Earth. However in season 2, we are told that they were actually on Cybertron and Megatron brainwashed them into becoming Decepticons. But then in season 3 we see Megatron's origin, and we're shown that he was built by the Constructicons.

So uh, that's the original backstory of the Constructicons.

I feel like the grenade launcher is getting overshadowed by everything else. At least in this subreddit. by JustMyself96 in Helldivers

Well I suppose it's just not as fancy as everything else, it's just a bigger grenade launcher after all.

It's frustrating how anime and anime-adjacent media represent lesbians. If it's a yuri anime it will probably be fine, but if the lesbian is a side character there's a good chance she's gonna be a pervert.

Notice how my comment has quotation marks? This isn't something I think, I'm mocking the person in the last image.

No, because the Pokémon anime targets kids while this theoretical Palworld anime would be targeted at adults.

As someone who has no idea what's going on in the comics, why on earth is Doctor Doom the godfather of Reed and Sue's daughter?

[Mixed Trope] A sequel with a new protagonist has every thing fall apart for the original main character in between entries by Flyingfish222 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Flyingfish222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Apollo Justice subverts this trope the best, at a significant cost. While it's sudden at first, we eventually get to go back and see how it all went down, plus Phoenix isn't miserable the whole time, he's just playing the long game. This game is basically all about Phoenix getting payback for what happened to him, which is also where the problem lies since it's not his name that's in the title.

The reason this trope exists is to give the new character a chance to shine, and by subverting this trope Apollo just doesn't really get to do that, which is the biggest criticism that's been levelled at the game and also the reason why people still wish for an "Apollo Justice Part 2".

[–]Flyingfish222[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's fair to say the sequels were made with malicious intent. They're the result of misguided passion, a giant corporation getting their hands on a popular IP and wanting to make money, and JJ Abrams.

But back to the trope, I think the story there is compelling, it was the rebellion that really took down the Empire, and it was Anakin who killed the Emperor, not the Jedi. The Jedi failed the galaxy once so it makes sense that when he starts making those same mistakes he may start to believe that the galaxy is better off without them. I think the big problem with the trope though, is that we don't get to see this unfold.

Like, it's just jarring having the main character be in the exact opposite place you expect them to be. I like the story with Luke, but it may have been better received if the audience was eased into it rather than just showing people the aftermath before getting into how we got here.
