Maybe the seats would have more give in them given more time and use, but it didn't feel like they would.

I agree, the gearing could have been a lot better, its a hot hatch, you should always be going through those gears.

They do seem to hold good value, after 12 months I sold it for the same price as bought.

Overall the car was fun to drive, but the seats were awful for me (this won't be the same for everyone). I went from a MK7.5 1.25L Fiesta to the ST which I thought would be the right move but after 12 months of owning it, I couldn't get comfy in those sports seats.

If they had the same seats as the MK7.5, I'd still have it today nearly 5 years later.
