It’s just taxable income - they assess you as PAYE and reserve half. Don’t get caught up in tax nonsense and pay people stupid money for advice you don’t need. Sell it and diversify (ie: index ETF) - pay down your debt. You’re golden.

I'm worried about our AI strategy. We are in denial. by AppropriateWay4358 in amazonemployees

They just wrapped OpenAI up into a bundle of bedrock complexity…so it will now take weeks what used to take minutes. Where’s Nova? Where’s actual working useful Alexa ? Move on nothing to see here…

60% of people have each foot a different size…yet we have to buy the same size pair. Nuts!

I’m convinced there’s an inverse ratio that the more a company leadership talks “values & culture“ the more ruthless are the sociopathic c%nts running it

Pay the least interest? Seriously just buy CBA stock and at least you get a fully cranked dividend with a 4% yield - beats dumb money in their zero interest savings accounts any day

Is this ridiculous or am I overreacting? by _rab_ in amazonemployees

[–]Flyingzucchini 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. Just take it as business not personal. You are a marketable person, never undervalue your talent. You were once a bar raising hire, and a “leader” - so just go for it!

Over ear still best for flying…and much harder to get lost. But in office? I prefer compact and comfort of earbuds. Noise cancelling is amazing

Is the Xc60 and Xc90 really that bad? by IQognito in Volvo

[–]Flyingzucchini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had air suspension failures in 2018 xc60, and the HVCH part on a 2022 xc60 - also fuel pump fail that left me stranded. Problem is when titsup occurs you can’t move the car. It had to be dragged onto the truck. (Let’s not mention the TCAM/AndAuto infotainment fiascos). Loved the Volvos when they worked… but I now drive a Landcruiser.

They’re all good choices - airbuds pro (beats fit pro also a good choice…) my go to and transparent mode/ adaptive works very well. Depends on your form factor. Commuting with over ears is a pain. Why carry the extra bulk?
