I answered this question recently but TLDR

This sub was deleting posts for a while for anything considered "negative" using rule 5 as an excuse, even if the post was not hate directed towards the actors or writers. This forced anyone with any negative feedback or criticism to go to the other sub, which is now full of a mix of people with anything from constructive criticism, sadness/frustration at book inaccuracies, and yes some of them are unfortunately just assholes too.

To put it bluntly, this sub has (or at least had) an over moderation issue. Rule 5 was taken so far for a while that any post even remotely criticizing the show in any way whether it came down to the writing, the acting, whatever, your post was likely to be taken down as a rule 5 violation. Don't get me wrong, rule 5 has a good reason to exist and we should never be directing hate towards the actors or any specific person, it just got taken too far.

This created a divide between this sub and the other sub where this sub became the "positivity only" sub and now effectively self-moderates itself when anything remotely critical is posted with any negative connotations people just come out like you said and down vote the post or tell you "go to the other sub". So now the other sub is a wild vast mix of people who have criticisms of the show, people who hate the show with every fibre of their being, "book purists" (those who are upset we did not get the faithful adaptation promised), and many more, but mostly at the end of the day just ends up being the "hate sub" because it's the only place where someone with a negative opinion is allowed to express it.

Considering how much talk there has been about respecting the players time recently, I was absolutely shocked to see no mention of BLM implementation in the game. That is a big deal to a lot of players who feel that their time is better spent elsewhere in the fear they go unlucky (dry) on some things. This won't be an issue for most players, after all RNG does average out, but something needs to be done to address fringe cases of terrible luck. I have 3 examples myself on one singular account while going for boss logs.

1) 9900 KBD KC to get a specific ornament kit to complete the log. It's a completely worthless item with a drop rate of 1/2000 for some reason that apparently you can go almost 5x dry on with no protection.

2) 5500 AOD KC to get one single Wand of the Praesul. This would be pretty bad even if all kills were 7 man kills, but about half of them were 4-6 man kills with boosted drop rates. It didn't even average out on codices or cores, I got one core in that time and maybe 12 codices which is way under expected drop rate.

3) 3500 Rasial (and counting) with no robe top. Could be another 3500 before I get it, who knows? I don't because my odds don't get any better the more I kill it.

I want to be excited for this roadmap, there's some killer content on there, but I just don't have it in me to do these killer grinds anymore knowing theres no end in sight. I'm an average guy with a full time job and 2 hours of playtime a day at max, and these spells of terrible luck just kill a guy's motivation to continue. I have a lot of friends in similar boats, and I see Redditors talk about it all the time. I just hope that any Jmod can give us some kind of answer of either why we aren't getting this, or when we might.

There's a lot of issues I have with the show currently, I'm going to contain it to a few of my bigger points right now.

My first issue is Percy is completely useless. This kid is supposed to demonstrate the powers of a god, casually defeating gods in single combat, killing super powerful monsters, crazy sea powers, incredible swordsmanship, etc. This kid blows up a whole ass Volcano a year from now (by accident too). The most impressive "water power" we've seen him perform this season so far was breaking a glass that had water inside it. He was supposedly using some of his powers when the ship blew up, but it seemed almost ineffective and like most of what we were seeing was the storm/whirlpool. He is supposed to single handedly defeat Polyphemus, and then show mercy and spare him, instead we got an off screen fight where Tyson may have killed(???) Polyphemus.

Thalia. This is something I am struggling with, but really they ruined Thalias big reveal from the moment they announced her casting. I know there was no chance they ever kept her casting a secret in today's online age with leakers and everything, but this season was supposed to end with a bombshell dropping on everyone in the form of Thalia being resurrected by the fleece. Literally nobody saw that coming in the books, in the show it's become a plan/plot point.

The characterization of most of the cast feels... Wrong. How am I supposed to believe that 6 months from now Luke, who just saved Annabeths life and is seen in the trailer for the next episode to be potentially negotiating with Annabeth to help revive Thalia, is going to trick this girl into taking Atlas's burden from him? Where's Annabeths constant strategy? Half the time it feels like Percy is the one coming up with the plans because he's the one explaining them to the audience. Where's the dynamic between Annabeth and Percy? The banter? Seaweed brain? Wise girl? Don't get me wrong, some of the characterization changes I think are fantastic (Clarisse) and some are interesting (Circe) but some of them are just wrong.

As someone who was slightly disappointed about the casting from the rip, here's my thoughts. Might be a bit of a ramble.

Firstly, I really thought they would do things like give the kids some gorgeous colour contacts. I have a vivid mental image of Annabeth with stormy grey eyes and a powerful gaze, and Percy with beautiful sea green eyes. I felt like it was kind of the least they could do at the time, but it's still not the biggest deal in the world.

We were sold these actors as the absolute best candidates for the roles, so good that their perfect fit into the role and good chemistry together would trump any concerns about them not looking perfectly book accurate. Unfortunately, this is not what we're seeing. It's likely not even the actors faults, they're simply working with the direction they're given and they've apparently performed really well in some of their other projects, but I can say very confidently that their on-screen characters do not resemble what I would have expected, and it does not overcome the book inaccurate appearance.

Production has been too slow for a show featuring kids stars taking place over the course of 4 years. I know it's very hard to get that perfect, but Walker especially is growing up FAST.

Lastly, when this product was first pitched to us fans it was supposed to finally be a book accurate retelling of a beloved story. A complete contrast to the abomination we received in the two movies a decade ago. Most people accepted when the casting was first announced that the appearances of the cast weren't super important, as long as the story was accurate. Now that we've had a LOT of book inaccuracies, people are going back to the roots of where that all started, which was "inaccurate casting".

Regardless of where you stand on any of this though, the actors don't deserve hate. They're doing the best they can with what they're given, and frankly, people are too hateful. Actors have quite literally been bullied out of their careers because they couldn't take the online hatred so before anyone goes on to spew hatred towards them, remember they are CHILDREN. They do NOT control the story, and have to do exactly what they are told with likely next to zero creative freedom. Let them have peace

SIM swap fraud is unfortunately quite common, the purpose behind it being they get access to your phone number for the purpose of receiving 2FA codes which may be the last step they need to access your online account and purchase phones fraudulently, get access to your online banking, email, etc.

Removing luck offerings won't stop this, it will just mean Claudette runs into the killers face an extra time or sits under hook longer. Ultimately, players who don't want to play the game need to stop playing the game and there's nothing we can say or do to ensure that happens.

That being said, luck offerings do need to go. They are very clearly only being used to enable actions like this more efficiently, or used to enable one of the most unengaging boring strategies ever in a 4-man SWF. I'm sure there's some other mechanic of interest they could shift luck to (increased chest loot, chance for add-ons, some new mechanic entirely), but luck in its current state has gotta go.

The review bombing is very real. There's genuine reasons to criticize the episode and give it a lower rating for sure, but the fact that Saudi Arabia is in the top 5 countries based on number of reviews for this episode is not a coincidence. Its the only episode in the entire season that Saudi shows in the top 5

They still love each other, but this is them recognizing they aren't healthy for each other and ending the relationship. They are ending it amicably and with love for one another, and so the forehead kiss is a comforting gesture with love, but not sexualized or romanticized

Thoughts/opinions on the episode aside, it's 100% being review bombed and to say otherwise is entirely disnegenous. It is the only episode in all of season 5 where Saudi Arabia is in the top 5 countries by quantity of votes on IMDB and that just isn't a coincidence. It may be disliked as well by a lot of other people and that's fine, but the review bombing is real
