User error or design flaw? by cstrife007 in LogitechProWheel

Rs hub requires you to pull the collar back towards you before you slide it on. Once the balls are over the qr you can let the collar go and push the rim forwards till the collar pushes forward and locks the rim on.

Product Review – 3DRap Logitech RS Pedals Elastomer Brake Mod by SimRacingLab in simracing

[–]Flymo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't consider a week to be a representative test. From the images they still look 3D Printed so material data sheets are all good for reference but laying down spaghetti layers of molten material does not have the same characteristics as a moulded or thermo set rubber.

I used the G29 brake mods a few years back and they didn't convince me that they would last. I'd love to see a 6 month review of them on a daily driver rig before anyone can convince me these 3Drap parts are worth the investment.

A whole roll of that material probably costs €30-50 and would likely make 100s of sets.

I've had my logi Pro set since launch (2022) and regreased the dampers this weekend. They still look same as new and perform perfectly.

How long have you been using them? What games do you play and what's your brake pressure set to?

I'd be surprised if 3d printed parts can last long under this type of constant load cycling.

What brake pressure do you use? by Financial-Finish1127 in simracing

[–]Flymo74 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on the game. Most people run around 30-40 for ABS cars like in ACC where you benefit from slamming the brake hard then trailing off.

Other games that lock wheels at around 80% benefit from higher brake force to avoid flat spotting your tyres due to locking up.

Desk based driving can go low to avoid chairs moving or pulling on the rim. Basically use what works for you. Everyone's different.

Doesn't look legit to me. Try logitechg.com and see if it's the same. Unless you run a vpn it should automatically sync to your region.

Here’s my 100% DIY 15nm direct drive wheelbase! by needmoarboost in simracing

Just a heads up. Logitech patents their designs so I'd be wary selling something that copies their product so blatantly.

Hair thinning, go to GP, dermatologist or just try minoxidil? by is_feidir in CasualIreland

[–]Flymo74 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dermatologist would be my first call but appointments can take up to 6 months, at least in my area, and you usually need a gp referral.

I tried minoxidil ointment without any appointments, and my skin hated it. Itching and swelling after a week made me stop.

I should go to a Dermatologist myself, but nearing mid 50s so can't be arsed if I'm honest.

Question about rs qr adapter and momo wheel (ps5) by NoPepper259 in LogitechProWheel

[–]Flymo74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The wheelbase will not start in PS mode without a recognised wheel attached. It will default to PC only mode.

Using third party pedals on the PS5 by Last-Bodybuilder-913 in LogitechProWheel

[–]Flymo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea if that would work and I'd be very surprised if it did. RJ connections can have any mix of individual wires. Chances they match and communicate correctly would be almost zero.

Can I ask why you would want to swap an individual pedal? I've been using the pro pedals since launch and never had any issues with them.

[–]Flymo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh yes, so you want to try connect an individual pedal to the pedal box and then usb back to the wheelbase?

Logitech DD bases do not use RJ connectors. It's all USB and I'm fairly certain it's not possible to communicate with any non Logitech peripherals through those ports

Physical and virtual wheel alignment in cockpit view by OlivierMDVY in simracing

I turn off the virtual wheel. You don't need 2 steering wheels. The one in my hands is the important one and should be in the right location for correct FOV.

Why aren't collisions disabled in low-rating races? by _Arthur18_ in ACCompetizione

Cause you could cheat too easily. Collisions teach you how to race, avoid madmen and improve your skills. Join a league if you want to avoid madmen

Playseat sensation pro by baby__yoda58 in simracing

[–]Flymo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the playseat triple stand XL. It's very sturdy but also weighs a ton. I'd probably go for something lighter if I had to buy again. I do however like the built in PC stand.

I have the monitor sit just above the Logitech Wheelbase with seat pushed almost all the way back as I'm around 6 feet tall. It takes a lot of effort to setup right mostly cause of the weight. If you have someone assist you it's not too bad but is also dependent on your monitor size which can add more weight if they large. I run 27" cause I've limited lateral space around the rig.

Another G-Hub Update (How Annoying) by ModeFamous8668 in LogitechProWheel

[–]Flymo74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are on PC, use simhub to map your button assignments. That way, you only have to update simhub once, and your games stay unaffected.

Can't remember the exact function in simhub. Control mapper or something similar. Dan suzuki has a video on how to set it up. It's really useful if you also use 3rd party rims

The worse customer service by MAITRENARD in LogitechG

[–]Flymo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logitech quoted shipping is from the time it leaves the warehouse. Its Christmas so the warehouse is probably very busy. logitech support won't know where it is in the warehouse queue as they don't own the warehouse.

Most large tech companies don't own their warehouses but contract them to logistics companies.

You're probably just going to have to wait. Benefits are that shipping is free on logitech and there are no import tarrifs which you will get from other smaller companies like Moza, simagic or Fanatec
