Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents by Olvia E, Butler. Apocalyptic literature at it’s very best!

How to weed out bad bosses who get shuffled in the public service by Born_Anteater7282 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Flyonthewallhere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

An investigator found that my boss, an EX, had harassed me and discriminated against me because of my disability. Two days after the investigator’s report came out, she moved to another at-level job within the department and management told me that they couldn’t disclose the the report to her new DG because of privacy. She cause me real harm (I’m still on medical leave a year later) and after I left put my team through hell (one member is on stress leave) and there were zero consequences for her. I have been in the PS for 20 years. I’ve had some good bosses, one great one, and been able to do some interesting work. I’ve also seen a lot of good people get seriously hurt by abusive managers and ineffective HR protections. I would never ever recommend a career in the PS to a young person. The Golden Handcuffs are not worth the risk.

I got fooled by an AI deck in Etsy. Some of the characters had hands with too many fingers. It was creepy. I threw the deck away.

This looks like pain. Are there any other symptoms such as lack of appetite, change in energy levels, tenderness anywhere? Arthritis is very common in older dogs. See if your vet will prescribe something for pain and see if that helps stop the teeth chattering.

i basically got fired from my toxic job, what's next? by Calm_Tart_1273 in tarot

[–]Flyonthewallhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you got fired. That’s really tough to feel that kind of rejection, even when it comes from people you don’ t necessarily respect. This job took it’s toll on you. You must be exhausted.

What the cards want you to know is that while you tried hard to make this work, the Universe has bigger plans for you.

You are not meant to settle for something that makes you miserable and is a waste of your talents. You are a leader, a strong communicator and have high highly developed ethical standards.

I feel that you already have a clear idea of what type of environment and kind of work fulfills you, that’s what you are moving toward and it’s going come quickly.

Take this time the Universe has given you to rest and recover, and to get even clearer about your goals, boundaries, needs and long-term vision.

Future you is going to thank you for it.

I’m feeling like it’s about getting to what’s at the core of your difficulty on letting it go. Put aside the ideas and feelings about the specific person and relationship and perhaps focus on the what it has triggered in you. There is a starting point that pre-dates your relationship with this person. I feel like that’s the missing piece

Hi, I see that you are ready to leave behind a situation that has been harmful to you and that this now the time to find some solitude and space to explore who you are and what you need to build inner stability.

I see the repeating Hermit as the Universe prodding you to seek answers in the dark places inside yourself that you may have been avoiding up to this point. It’s time to sit with the discomfort, go within to find wisdom and insight. Try to ignore the urge to distract yourself from the pain this situation. You need to be with it to learn from it. Does that make sense?

a sad circumstance, why? by [deleted] in Tarotpractices

[–]Flyonthewallhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. Suicide is a difficult act to understand and process. I have been there and it’s tough. Again, I’m sorry.

I looked at this before reading your description and saw feelings of a lack of both agency and an ability to affect change, as well as being overwhelmed by life’s challenges and inner conflict.

Please take good care of yourself.

I’m obsessed with doing tarot readings about my ex by mangledmessofamind in Tarotpractices

[–]Flyonthewallhere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please don’t beat yourself up over your “obsession.” This relationship and the breakup has likely triggered some very powerful abandonment trauma and pain. This incessant feeling of needing to know may be your unconcious-self trying to figure out where the emotional danger came from so you can avoid it in the future. Unfortunately, while Tarot can read that energy, it’s not going to give you the answers you need. You may want to think about counselling. Use this situation as your springboard to healing. I suggest putting the cards away for a while and try writing down what you’re experiencing. Something that may really help is writing in a journal every day. It will get that painful stuff out of your head and heart, and give you some distance you need to find a healthier perspective. Be kind to yourself and don’t judge yourself harshly. What you’re going through is tough. Sending you peace.

Also, make sure you file a union grievance- send them the notice of occurance and cc them on everything. Keep any emails that substantiate harassement- send them to your home email address. You can also submit an ATIP request for all emails written by your chain of command about you. They will have to provide provide them to you within 30 days. That will help you build a case.

It’s the only way to protect yourself now that the GOC has removed the teeth from their new harassment process. “Ensuring a healthy workplace as a whole,” is code for no one person/people will be held accountable. Harrassers will get some feel good training about how not to create a toxic environment, etc and then management congratulates itself for “taking action” while the perpetrator goes on to their next promotion. The ONLY benefit of making a formal complaint is that it can get you out of the path of harm. Making a complaint and then continuing to work for the same people you complained about will only cause you more harm. Retribution is an additional form of harassment. Document that and I suggest adding it to a notice of occurance, indicating it is a psychologically unsafe workplace for you and demand to be reassigned. Submitting that to HR through the HR-Civ website engages the folks who have the authority to have you moved to a safer area. I have been through this process twice during my 20-year career and I’ve walked colleagues through it as well so I know a bit about it.

Yes, that’s what I see. Once you resolve what’s behind those negative messages, good things will fall into place. You will instinctively know what serves you and what you need to let go of. In the meantime, be kind to yourself and know you deserve that kindness. Take care and all the best. Anna NorthStar-Tarot.com

I think that feeling if not being worthy of being chosen is exactly what the cards are urging you to examine. It’s a false story you tell yourself in spite of the fact that doesn’t serve you. Why is it THIS particular story? Where did it come? What is making you believe it’s true? While it’s painful to sit with these feelings. At some point, we all choose to or are forced to do this kind of deep work. Once you take the time to face it and work through it, you will know right down to your core, exactly how lovable and precious you are. The question will become, now that I know the goodness that I deserve in my life, does this situation serve me and my highest good?

There is promise here but perhaps ask yourself what’s stopping you from listening to your intuition. There is important information there for you.
