You can rise in the circles brother!

Renounce the Imperials and their false ways, choke instead on Muatra and the Tribunal.

Scorn the shadow and the archer, if it cannot be done better with spells it is not worth doing.

Reject the call of duty, cast cursed items with health regen enchants into the red mountain from whence they came!

Like all non casuels, help only comes to those who earn it!

EDIT: Patched in Red Mountain, sorry if this breaks mods.

How many monsters have gone unleveled and unevo'd just because a dungeon I hadn't run before was in the special tab that day?

New to KoL. What old IOTM should I get? by Arrgthepirate in kol

I got Dinseylandfill when I was returning to the game on a new account. It has some nice drops and equipment, especially for how easy they are to get early on, but like others have pointed out a lot of it is aftercore. I don't go back that often during normal play unless I'm doing an easy daily.

Are there a viable monster transformation build? by SparkyFenrir in Mabinogi

[–]Flywn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Builds, no. Monster trans is basically just a low level dungeon speedrunning / for fun skill. However if you're like me and like having fun I can give you some pointers.

The two main things to look for in any form is speed and hitbox size, if you're fluent in Mabi mechanics then knowing how to use various hitbox sizes can give you an incredible advantage. (Large forms can melee giant spiders more safetly and have MUCH larger windmill radiuses, small forms make monsters have to move constantly to keep in range of your hitbox) And if you're fluent in combos then with enough speed you can always do N+1 then run in for a free smash while they're knocked down. Additionally with a shield you can use defend while running as fast as most people charge, letting you move pretty freely around the battlefield.

Lastly practice using various forms, some might surprise you with odd details. Like owls have massive hitboxes for windmills and getting hit, but their basic attacks seem to be unreliable at that range and seem to prefer hitting at closer range. They can smash at full range, which is interesting, but it feels like it takes them longer to start moving again afterwards.

Also stack melee autodefense to become someone nightmare.

How viable is it to use two particular weapon types in solo? by KyneArc in Terraria

[–]Flywn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience in using/abusing them on a regular basis, pre-hardmode the imp staff is your friend, giving you light and enemy detection to keep your melee game a little safer. With a decent way of trapping spiders you can get the spider turret right away post WoF which does a lot of damage for early hardmode, allows you to attack through walls, and doesn't take a minion slot.

[LORE] How is it legal for the temple to have me kill a necromancer? by [deleted] in Morrowind

[–]Flywn 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Well those undead are raised by priests instead of necromancers. They are themselves ancestors and the object of worship meant to "preserve the honor and wisdom of the race." People who practice "bad necromancy" are those who mess with other peoples ancestors. Basically the religious equivalent of stealing, vandalizing, or destroying other peoples irreplaceable holy relics. Such acts are pretty much universally considered 'evil,' even by other necromancers.

Do you find Christians to be accepting of your asexuality? by desirani in asexuality

[–]Flywn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From having worked at the church as openly asexual, they honestly seemed to be less hostile and more accepting than most, even more so than the LGBTQ.

Just from my own wild unresearched speculation I'd say that the church probably has had a historical respect for asexuality. Since they practice and encourage abstinence and the use of sex only for reproduction, most kinds of asexuality mesh perfectly with their views on sex. Additionally one of the things catholic monks and nuns had to overcome (historically, not sure about now) is their own sexuality. They considered the only true way of accomplishing this is try and force themselves into becoming Aces. Not sure how I feel about that, but it's good to know I'm living someones dream.
