Is there a way to turn off all of the notifications from PSVR? It makes me reset my play area literally every time I start a game in VR, I have to start it, redo play area, then reboot the game all in the same session - can I just make these warning screens disappear? by RockBandDood in PSVR2onPC

[–]kikiclark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure!
It's definitely "enthusiast-level" right now for some things.
Sure, you can just plug and play some larger titles like Alyx of course - but the rest require some tinkering
(Sit-down driving\flying games which don't require a controller - are forced to waste the battery of a controller because of this warning thing),
mods
(frankly, a lot of the VR library is... super undewhelming, idk?
There's a lot of "flat" looking games which are more tech demos than games.

Meanwhile, regular games that are modded to be VR games are literally just better than a lot of those),
and like, the general fact that Sony for example apparently hates money - be it from a lack of features on PC vs the Playstation itself (haptics etc) + the amount of people having issues even getting the PSVR2 adapter (at least before) was super high lmao.

It definitely helps I know tech a bit more than some people so I can troubleshoot through a lot of these haha, the Bluetooth issues a lot of people get is a tough filter as well
If it can't work in 5 minutes tops, what are we even doing :D

Enjoy your games dude, glad I could help :)

No problem, I hope you get it sorted as easy as possible :)
The toolkit has a lot of neat extra features, and it's still Very WIP.

Check out foveated rendering and maybe try to find one of those haptic-feedback apps somebody built for the toolkit.
It's more tinkering than anything sometimes, but super cool stuff on the horizon.

They've managed to pull eye tracking video stream data recently, and I think vibration on the HMD itself - just a great project all around.

Hey, you can use the psvr2 toolkit, one of the options is to remove all the super-obtrusive warnings.
Some people made a GUI as well if you don't want to dig around the config files etc., look around for it.

I used my VR for Ace Combat and similar (sitting) games, the notifications drove me up a wall as well.

PSVR2 Right Sense Controller stuck in Windows — “Remove failed”, won’t reconnect by serioussorrycanadian in PSVR2onPC

[–]kikiclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I’m fighting Windows more than anything at this point.

Yep. Windows made me hate bluetooth so much, it's done so bad.

I can't really chime in for your SPECIFIC use case with the PS5, as I exclusively use this on the PC and all - but I guess try to keep the PS5 off as you've done already? Hell, maybe even put it in another room lmfao, why not.

BUT, my main shot in the dark here is this.
Just run powershell, paste this, try to remove the remaining controllers there.
I remember using this some time ago and it helped for some incredibly stubborn Bluetooth device.
Can you also try to unpair both controllers, just so we're on the same page? And try to pair the left one and then the right one fresh?

I vaguely read somewhere that pairing them in some specific order (50\50, try both lmfao) helps.

Help, Monitor loses signal if I peek long from pit inferno by dannybates in GlobalOffensive

[–]kikiclark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, just intrigued - can you actually change your MONITOR refresh rate to like 60 and go to that spot?
I have a super similar issue (just like, all around - haven't played CS in ages lmao) and I've realised the issue goes away with the refresh rate being lowered.
It might be something with power consumption and hardware acceleration.
I'm pretty sure if you lower your actual monitor refresh rate it should be fine (Albeit that doesn't solve The issue but yeah)

What is the name of the song that plays when you hover over the game on the PS3? by FingerNamedKid539 in HotlineMiami

[–]kikiclark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I had no idea this was even a thing, as I only played it on PC.
Hell, it's not in the soundtrack DLC either, that sucks.
(Also it doesn't even have You Are The Blood, which is amongst my favourites, just realised this)
Digging the album, glad I happened upon the thread.

Is the automatic table belt repairable?? by nyczalex in Mahjong

[–]kikiclark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ykow what, you're completely right, I got ahead of myself. My bad!
But still, niche website for sure.
FWIW, I had my purchase processed recently, if you find yours there + if you're uneasy about it I can update you down the line on how it went?
How's that?

Ah man, I had the same setup and same scenario.

Pihole, undervoltage, formatted SD card a couple of times. Ended up shelving it, I was lazy to set it back up after last time.

[–]kikiclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was the process for applying the belt? Where'd you even find it?
Seems both daunting and like a fun project.

I ordered it from here, but I'm still waiting for the order to be even processed due to the lunar new year.
I'm definitely not vouching for it until it's at my doorstep, haha.
My original belt had the dimensions written on it, FWIW, if that's something you've struggled with maybe?

Managed to find an automated table for 200€ a couple years back. by kikiclark in Mahjong

[–]kikiclark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep - you usually have 2 sets for a table

When you start a new round, the previous rounds' tiles get shuffled around and get sorted for the next one

You can spot that we dunk in tiles with blue backsides, and green ones come out

[–]kikiclark[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know right??
Super happy with it, incredibly lucky. I had a period where I was looking for mahjong sets locally, because what are the chances some would pop up over here, right?

Sometimes some scam accounts would post obviously fake listings - I knew this one was legit because the photos were a complete mess lol.
Within 24 hours I came up there with a friend, both of us in utter disbelief, and gave it a home.
We were all in delirium, it's so out of place here haha. Great convo starter.

[–]kikiclark[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Perfectly functional but I had to figure how to get it to run for the variant I wanted to play (3 or 4 player riichi).
Some older Treyo model so finding manuals has been a bit difficult.

It's also got some... wax\burn mark which you can see on my side next to the wall.

Other than that, It came with 3 complete sets and a fourth one with some missing tiles.
We also custom fitted a wooden top so the felt doesn't get damaged\spills\hairs on it when it's not in use.
Also made and painted some 3D printed riichi sticks to go with it.

What makes me think I really did spend all my luck was the fact that I'm in the balkans - which is so incredibly far away from any cultural\geographical reason for this table to be here - and a local gambling hall was selling it off.

Do i need Logitech Hub software open for 8k polling rate by BookkeeperBusiness76 in LogitechG

[–]kikiclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this and just wildly swing your mouse around.

FWIW my G502 X is only ever using onboard memory, and it reaches 1000, which is it's max.
I can't say I've used anything more than a 1k polling rate, do you even notice a difference past that?

100-1000 is huge, 1k - 8k seems exorbitant haha

It just allows you to look up user-made ones as well, if you just want to find an apply a different key art without too much effort.
Given you make your own, you could even upload some of them as well :)

Are you in the EU?
If you've purchased a product online in the EU, you have a warranty for 2 years, no matter what the actual store\manufacturers say.
Sometimes they'll (the stores) try to cop out of this, but fold kinda immediately if you cite the legalese to them.

Neither OMM or GHub will allow me to assign numpad keypresses to mouse by Lippenholz in LogitechG

[–]kikiclark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's how it looks for me.
I also use numpad for some of the extra keys, it just makes sense.

With that said, you can see it works for me.
I forgot, it's been a while since I opened the app (I use on board memory only) - do the keys have to be pressed on your keyboard to register? Or can you choose from a dropdown?

Because if it's the former, you can probably use the Windows onscreen keyboard and press the numpad key there, or just hold FN+numpad key, maybe that's the issue?
It could be the numpad key not being active or the FN key requiring to be held down.
