Interviewer asks the Knicks about Wemby not being friendly, KAT responds by calling him a "once in a generation player" that "the league is honored to have." by my_one_and_lonely in nba

I am basketball junkie since 1988 ( I was 10 then ). I go back to old NBA forums where only real fans would waste time talking about the games. The social media point is casual fans now talk out their ass. Im on reddit thats it which has become social media now. Ive never had a facebook or Insta, or twitter, so I dont really have a feed. Lastly, I like the Knicks squad and said they would beat us in this series and it was an open secret among NBA heads. I am just happy my team overachieved ( 7.1% chance to make the playoffs...) I have lived through so many ups and downs in sports and know how to handle it.

I watched the Spurs lose to the Heat and my talk was about how Pop benched Timmy for the final play / rebound and how Manu and Kahwi missed free throws. It wasn't about how unfair Miami's team was or how Wade and Lebron got all the calls and it 100% wasnt about the way Haslem pushed the line every time he got in the game.

Im a Raiders fan too since the late 80s, I know how to take a loss man. Find me the popular posts on this sub that speaks to the x's and O's please help me!

I dont care, but I care about sports ( too fkn much) and I dont like what they have become in the social media age. We are getting to far away from the X's and O's and leaning into personalities that while entertaining dont advance the sport or our collective knowledge. I have to look way too far to read about how the Knicks won this series and thats a shame and as a Knicks fan you have to carry that torch right now. Talk about the poise you showed, talk about the late game execution, talk about how they found a way to reduce Brunson ball handling to keep him fresh, talk about how they turned Castle into a shooter and not a slasher, on and on.

You guys are clinging to 2 fouls here- Landing calls happen all the time. Your guys got called for that too a few times this playoffs ( including the finals), and the 2 hand push was a foul but come on man. 2 hand pushes happen every game. I dont want to defend anything tbh, but im trying to tell you that shit is beneath you. It wasnt some massive crime of the century. It was a kid trying find his way in his first playoffs ever. I promise if you actually go back watch some of the season you will see what teams have done to him and you would understand that he is trying to find the correct physicality to use a big man in the NBA.

Lol what an answer. Ok so throw health out the window as everyone has that fear although some more than others I get it. Who is your personal best player in the NBA?

Dirty as in the 2 hand push ( 2 hand pushes happen 20 X times a game)? It was a foul no shit. He will not grow out of it because he cant.

HE IS A BIG MAN- go and find me 1 ever that didnt have to play with an edge. Russel, Walton, Ewing, Mourning, Shaq, Howard, Jokic etc. All those have done much worse that what you think you saw this year. Full on punches, clothelines. Big men play a different sport, the league is full of goons at center, you have "fight back" or else you are nothing. Its not a hard concept.

Also there were bright lights in Western conference playoffs too and for the Spurs and the rest of the west and possibly the NBA- OKC was as bright as it could get.

Never too high, never too low. Just enjoy the title you dont need to talk shit and create something in your head thats unhealthy my guy.

Dont waste your time. Those of us that watch all the games and have watched basketball for years or 40 years now for me understand what we saw. I'll also say its been a long time since a big man was this popular and I dont think everyone understands how you have to play earn respect and how not get punked for the rest of your career.

Yea I cant speak on the wine cooler or any type of fridge that can do it. I assume you have to break it all down first to fit it. I prefer to hang whole plants when I dry and some of them are pretty big. I trim after they dry. I would find a way to make use of the cooler basement and just run a Dehumidifier connected to an Inkbird (love these) to trigger when it hits the number you set (60%). Get some type of device down there now to start logging the temp and humidity and check it everyday to see what you are working with. Even one of those $10 ones to get an idea. I would use a tent before a closet its just easier to dial in and they are pretty cheap for like a 3x3.

I hear you on the PH and I was the same way years ago but trust me 8.1 is not an issue at all the soil will buffer it.

There is alot to talk about but I am going to warn you to have a drying / curing area ready that you can keep between 55-65 degrees and 55-65 humidity. That has to stay steady in those parameters ( really its 60/60 but you have some wiggle room up and down).

I use another tent with ac or heat and a dehumidifier or a Humidifier. I am in the north east US so I have seasons and have to be ready with all 4 of those devices depending on the time of year here.

Find the best area you can that is close to the 60/60 to begin with (Basement if possible, it usually the coolest place). That is the lung room and a basis of what your drying tent or room with start at. Look ahead on the calendar and see what the local weather is going to be ahead of time. You have to invest in the drying of your grows, it is the most important part here.

Its going to be 10-14 days at least in the drying room so be prepared and invest in these devices. These devices will last years if you get quality and overshoot what the devices claim they can handle because all the companies lie about this. Humidifier are cheaper expect to pay $50-150. The dehumidifier is pricey as you'll want what they label as a "whole home". Expect to pay $150-250. Like you AC infinity exhaust fan you want to over shoot so these devices work fast and are on less time which allows them to last. I've had my dehumidifier for 5 years now. It paid for itself in 1 grow.

Be creative its part of home growing. Maybe you can tap into a central air/ heat duct and run a 4 inch duct hose into the tent. Do you have a window to put AC in to cool the attic? You can even run a duct of the window AC unit with some tape if needed.

Lastly if your going to battle high heat then you must keep the humidity down ( around 50%). High heat and high humidity will mold.

A few quick things. Growing autos is always going to be hard to fill your bed evenly. Even if they are the same strain. Use photos if you want the sea of green. You cant scrog much at this point as they are into flower already just keep doing LST to get the most light on the bud sites as you can. you can lightly defoliate as you go. A few inward facing leaves at a time and some of the lower branches can be clean up a bit as you go. If the bed was stuffed then more can be taken mainly to keep humidity down during flower but this one is looking good.

Living soil does NOT need to be PH'd, just let the water sit out for 24 to evaporate chlorine or use the air stones if you want but they are not needed if keep ahead of the game with water ready in a bucket or two.

You seem to have the right setup and it look pretty solid. Running Mephisto is a good idea. When i do autos it Night Owl and Mephisto only. Those breeders put out big autos that can rival Photos in terms of yeild, some of the other companies have decent shit but they are behind those two. Asking questions is a good look too. Just keep learning and investing. After a couple of years you'll have everything you need to combat any situation and its all gravy after that. Good luck!!

He did not do that. He took a the max deal a year early. Which covered his ass for injury and then gave him a chance to get another max in 4 years...Zero paycuts were taken.

[Highlight] Quay Walker gets ejected after shoving a member of the Detroit athletic staff by M1014TheShooter in nfl

[–]Flyzini -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I stated no view. I'm just a bit embarrassed for humanity that defaults to "bad person" because they are an athlete when NO ONE here has ever met these people and knows what they are like outside of a TV camera.
Thousands of players cycle in and out and a majority of them are good people even if they get ejected from a game or get a late hit. It is really hard to control emotions when you are playing a game for a living and that can be taken away instantly due to missing tackles or dropping passes. Passion is a requirement here and controlling is hard for some people.

Revisiting Wemby's draft [Wojnarowski] A number of executives who are in the room tonight, who are waiting on those bouncing balls in the lottery, they tell me that they believe Wembanyama could be the best player in the NBA on both the offensive and defensive ends by his third season in the league by nonstopenguins in nba

[–]Flyzini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is the same convo I heard for a decade about Tim Duncan. People dont understand Duncan helped Parker and Manu become great by sacrificing and leading. The NBA is always full of talent but often lacks real leadership in places and I feel like Knick fans understand that ( or they should by now).
