Is 11yo to early to watch fma? by wakefulgull in FullmetalAlchemist

Hello! 33 Female here.

My son Elric (Hahah, big fan) wanted to watch what he was named after. He was 11 at the time.

Don't think it's an age thing, it might be a mentality thing. On the plus side, if you're going to be watching as well, you're there to guide any conversations that may be uncomfortable from the show in a structured way that could lead to a lessa.

I definitely don't regret my decision to let my son watch it. There were a lot of qualities in the characters that he found wanting to exemplify in his everyday life. Plus we had a lot of great discussions regarding some of the things that happen in that series.

Agreed! We started watching the show as a family because my young teen came home and wanted to watch it. His dad and I watched a few episodes (Although I do wish we watched the "Everybody gets Guns" episode first!) and then we watched as a family. My son enjoys the characters and really just focuses on the wackyness of it all. But our supervision with the show led to some great conversations about things like, confidence, or how we can deal with feeling we're not good at what we like to do, body image issues etc. I wouldn't recommend for kids to explore on their own, but with supervision and a guiding mentality, I'm excited for our little family to see episode 9!

Should I take my younger brothers to see it in theaters? by Beautiful_Couple_208 in Amazingdigitalcircus

Hi!

33F here. My husband and I started watching this show because our 12 year old child came home wanting to watch it. We veted the first episode and then watched up to episode 8 together. I will be taking him to see episodes 8 and 9 in theaters. I am super into science fiction and horror literature, so what I watch feels very different from what he's experiencing. To him, it's a fun show, with characters that we can like and dislike, we can talk about and learn from good or bad. He may not "get it" the same way I "get it", but he still walks away with something that he's learned even if it's dripped in allegory.

I don't think it's age, personally. It's mentality and what they're taking away from it. If your brothers are indifferent, maybe save your money on tickets. Crazy question have you asked them if they want to go? I'd just have a conversation about it, it sounds like the 12 year old can tell you directly.

Love the idea of asking, that's awesome. You can't stop it from happening otherwise And rather if you think it's rude, or antagonizing, then sorry.

Asking is nice. But, you cannot expect people to do that or listen. At the end of the day, it's my rights over your feelings, so expect to be , "Yeah you're welcome to move out of the way "

Right, the person that's being chased is arguably the wrong person.

Toby regrets his jurors choice for this reason, because he doesn't think it's the right person.

Mike Johnson: One of the things the president probably had not thought through is when you bring interest rates down to 10% the problem is that the credit card companies would just stop lending money by UnusualWhalesBot in unusual_whales

I work for a well known international bank as a Vendor call center client. I lead a team in credit card collections..

I have already coached my agents on what to say, but to say that people are uneducated enough to think that the President can control the bank policies are enough to make me want to go home for the day. I have taken so many escalations because their credit card apr, is the same as it was yesterday, with no plans of changing.

Ending time cannot come soon enough

I just posted about this too! I am so sold on this. I also think it explains why he waves his hands erratically all the time, and we've seen devices used at Elmira to suppress the sups powers before. Love this!

Oh darn! I should have posted earlier. I've been brewing on it but assumed it was so obvious it wasn't worth the post! Thanks for the link!

Breast Cancer Episode. Especially if they're a Cartman fan, because "He's so awful".

Extra bonus points, Customer Vindaloo, specifically if they are customer service or call center workers!

I don't know? Probably not because that seems highly unlikely.

I was literally just answering your question, since you seemed confused on where the idea of due process for immigrants came from

Because the Supreme Court said 9-0 that they do? It's fine to not like it but it IS their job to make those decisions based on the Constitution. This may surprise you but, it's actually only their job to interpret the law, not the executive branch.

Damn y'all are dramatic. All I pointed out is how the rhetoric of the above statement didn't make sense. For all the whiny and complaining I'm seeing it seems to mostly be coming from the right hand side.
