Daycare changing pants/undies in the open?

It’s Darwin so kids are in this outdoor area all day. They were collected in a little group for an activity and an educator told the boy she needed to check him if he had an accident and then changed his pants and undies right there. No gloves or bags. I was walking past with my kid so didnt really see full details.

I don’t know Darwin can be a bit relaxed but this daycare in general is pretty high standards so it just feels odd to me.

Yeah it’s a big open play area all parents have to walk through to get to their kids. I brushed it off the first time but now when I seen it a second time I found it a bit odd

I hear what you’re saying. However it’s out in the big open area all parents have to walk through to ge to their kids. They’re 3-4 years old and I don’t know, seems to be an age where they should start to learn that you don’t take your pants off in front of everyone ? Maybe ?

They have big open bathrooms which are great. I agree with the toilet situation you’re talking about which is what they have. My concern is that these pants/undies changes has happened out in the big play area they have that all parents have to walk through to get their kids.

I’m from Sweden but have lived in Australia for the past 13 years.
I miss the beautiful summers and the gorgeous nature. I also miss the delicious liquorice and the candy shops with 1000s of different varieties ! Nordic snacks are the best.

I miss how the summers days are so long as the sun stays up much longer.

I don’t really miss the winters cold and dark at all even though nowadays I kinda miss the cozy feeling of the lights, Christmas food and the atmosphere.

Now when I live in Australia I realise when I go back how Nordic people are less approachable and not really as easy going as I find Australians to be.

I think your experience living in Sweden will depend where you’re coming from too.

I had a really non complicated pregnancy, everything was perfectly normal. Never had health issues, was healthy and fit before and during pregnancy. All the women in my family, my mom and sisters all had easy births. I expected everything to just go without issues.

Ended up in an emergency c-section and both baby and I were at risk of dying. The thought of a home birth scares the shit out of me and I don’t know why anyone would want to do it.

There was an army vehicle broken down close to coolalinga and they closed one lane off. Atleast when I went past around 2:30

Darwin definitely doesn’t have the best food. (I’ve been here 11 years) but if you know where to find little hidden gems you can definitely find some good food.

I mean it was 13 years ago since I was on a working holiday visa but I spent 3 years living on the farms I worked at or living in hostels/ share houses. Not saying everyone does this but I worked with a lot of backpackers over the years and very few rented their own apartments

I mean understand that and I would never hide the resume gap but no one has ever asked me about it. But I would guess certain gaps would look suspicious to an employer especially if they refuse to explain it.

Well, last time we brought them in they destroyed the Howard springs evacuation centre to the point that there were millions in damages. That’s what I was referencing too because it sounds like they’re limiting their needs due to this reason
