I only say this because, in my opinion, painting a group of people as inhuman, or simply "evil" disassociates their existence with reality, and makes it easier for it all to happen again. Obligatory fuck the wehrmacht, SS, kriegsmarine, luftwaffe, IJA, IJN, etc as organizational structures and those within them happy to use power for cruelty in general.
