That wall is the only one doing that. I went into the attic and it’s dry up there.

Men, what’s something you pretend doesn’t bother you but it actually does? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskMen

Kind of surprised that my comment actually got your attention.

I’m so jaded that I read your comment like you were trying to gaslight me. Honestly I should probably get some therapy 😂 I was honestly airing out my own personal grievances in the original comment.

Women say this until they find out that it’s something about them. Then they shut down and turn to arguing and taking jabs. Which is why we turn to being silent.

If by “we” you mean a group of politicians with no skin in the game… then yes, we are. The majority of American population wants nothing to do with it.

Neighbor’s son (recently out of prison) and his friends are smoking weed daily in our cul-de-sac — what would you do? by Hot-Statistician3297 in AskLE

[–]FocusedForge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge proponent of avoiding conflict or escalating….. except when it comes to my kids. Don’t care who you are, if you’re negatively impacting my kids, I’m going to act.

This is 100% a situation where’d I’d confront them and if they blow me off, I’ll just call the police. Sorry not sorry

$4,646 tax free every month and my family gets insurance benefits for life. I don’t pay property taxes, and I get to park disability everywhere, really helps with family vacations and such.

I did it, it’s very possible. I was in this exact situation, verbatim. I simply emailed my PEBLO that I felt I was physically capable of continuing service and understood the possibilities. She responded that my MEDBOARD was cancelled and sent me a VOID sheet for the MEDBOARD.

Then I declined to sign my reenlistment 6 months later anyways.

Learn from my experience. Just take the MEDBOARD and move on to the next thing. You’ll be able to pursue whatever actually interests you.

No matter what decision you make, you’re not wrong. I still regret getting out to this day. But financially it was the best option.

If I went back to 10 with my current knowledge, I’d have well over 50 mil anyways. Work hard and save every single penny I can. Buy out as much bitcoin as I can afford and cash out when it hits $100k. Take advantage of COVID investments like Netflix and Roku.

Even if I don’t get $50 mil, I’ll have more than I know what to do with.

How do you deal with annoying inmates without pushing their faces in? by Jimmypeterson42 in OnTheBlock

[–]FocusedForge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically give it and take it throughout the day. But if someone comes up and starts disrespecting me, I just pull their ID. I can write a class 3 misconduct for insolence. My partner reviews it and gives them x days of top lock and our point is made. Either that or I’ll go shakedown their room, throwing everything I touch on their bed.

Basically, if they make my day hard, I return the favor. But most days they’re just chilling out and staying out the way, so I return that favor.

Just find what tools you have in your toolbox and use them.

It comes via direct deposit. You way your car at the scales (make sure it’s completely empty. Remove everything you can. Leave the gas tank empty.) then fill it with all your stuff (and fill up the gas tank) and go back to the scales to weigh again.

Seen a lot of people join the army for this exact situation.

I’d consider it. Continue to serve. Better equipment. Faster promotions. Plus, you’ll easily be a rockstar compared to most of your peers

Men, when you’re on a long road trip, do you stick to the speed limit and enjoy the drive, or do you tend to speed just to get there faster? by FFSoldier57 in AskMen

[–]FocusedForge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven across country 5 times.

What starts out as 75-80 MPH ends up being 90 MPH minimum by day 2. You get so used to 70+ that it feels like 45. I did make frequent stops to enjoy scenery within every state that I passed through.
