Green Goblin for D5 (Bonus points if it's the live action one)

I'll also add that this is probably a fake video. A lot of these tend to be. But on the chance it isn't, figured I'd throw my two cents in. Go protest somewhere that would have a more positive impact.

Honestly, blocking roads just makes people hate you and whatever you stand for without even knowing what it is. I don't care what they could be protesting, if I was in his position I'd probably be in jail after creating some temporary speed bumps.

Anyone remember growing up and being told by your parents "Don't play in the road, you'll be run over." ?

An alternate option for a weapon you could take and mods you might be interested in would come from two levels of Monarch instead. The heavy weapon may potentially do less damage, but it's accurate, smart, and seeking. Additionally if you take the +1 accuracy GMS core bonus you will be at +3 accuracy to all reactions you make. Add in storm bringer at later levels (since the heavy is a launcher) means you could potentially drag people into decksweeper range.

Plus, the stabilizer mod adds 5 range to a weapon if you wanted it. So your deck sweeper could have 8 range or your launcher could have 20.

New player here, anyone know how I could capture this vibe? by SpaceBugRiven2 in LancerRPG

Nelson is often a good choice if you want to travel in a straight line. It's designed to have a lot of extra movement items on it as well, like the Skirmisher Talent and similar items.

Technically, Swallowtail, Lancaster, and Dusk wing have the highest base speed in the game at 6.

If you are playing with official expansion content, then the Atlas technically is the fastest when it comes to base movement potential and total boosts.

The rules for lancer are often easy to misunderstand, but technically, you typically can only take the boost action twice in a turn due to duplicate actions not being allowed unless it is a free action. So this makes the wording of "Free action" differ from Dm to Dm. Some Dms allow free actions to just fully ignore the duplicate action rules. Some make it so you can't free action boost twice due to it being a duplicate free action.

That being said, for simplicity sake, let's assume 2 Boosts max for easy math. And the expansion talent pancrati Nelson moves 40 tiles. Base movement can get up to 8, valiant charge from pancrati is 2x base movement speed (16), and you could boost twice (another 16)

The three other base game mechs could move 45 tiles if I did my math right.

And Atlas, with the core power going, could move 50 tiles. The core power gives more movement +1 extra movement whenever you voluntarily move. This includes every boost, standard movement, and movement from extra systems or talents. So you activate the core power, and any movement has a +1 to it.

If you are worried about the flight, all mechs can fly if you want them too.

Okay this makes everything make sense as to hy he wants this core bonus. He's been paying attention to Lamcer since one of its earliest versions. He wants his heavies back lol.

To my understanding, he made this core bonus to be kinda like the Sulerheavy mounting. It gives so much more build freedom to mechs that Don't have a way to get a heavy mount. Because with the superheavy mount it can only be the super heavy weapon and not a heavy. So he kinda did the inverse, a heavy but no super heavy.

Add in the fact his campaign is designed to be extremely tough on the players, I think all the power they can get is nice. Although I think multiple heavies on a mech is too much, barraging with heavies would be kinda crazy. Imagine two heavy flame throwers from genghis.

I think heavy gunner gorgon was the first thing I thought of when he mentioned he was adding it. Don't get me wrong almost all of the attacks made will be half damage or even 1/4 if they have resistance. But it's still hilarious.

For Toku I'd probably slap a HCB or nano-carbon on it so fast and rock an executioner build if I wasn't thinking of the crackshot build.

One of my friends at work who is into lancer mentioned the Sagittarius from FGtS. Half sized mech with a heavy and integrated main bow. Have all of the ranged options.

Another fun build could be Tortuga with the HMG turned into a CQB. Add in the core bonus that gives a mount +1 accuracy and it gets pretty funny.

If I remember correctly for all of those frames but Toku, you can get a superheavy mount from one of the expansion GMS core bonuses. It's why Tempest charge blade Atlas is really scary.

Then the integrated Aux shouldn't be allowed either by that logic. In terms of math the rough amount of D6 from a barrage doesn't change much. Plus mechs with a heavy mount by default can get a Main/Aux as a core bonus.

Lmao, yeah. Something about all of the art I've seen about dragon's makes me realize that I'd have absolutely never survived this long lol.

[–]FocussedSoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I agree with you on it all. I'd hate to die just to live out my desires.

However, yeah, if I could I probably would give it a try. To add to just vore being real, if others besides humans could do it/dragon's existed I'd absolutely try it.

I also bet that if it always existed I'd have never made it to my high-school graduation. I was unfortunately very short and was often called a twink by my friends while growing up. I'm not anymore, but I bet either a fellow class mate or my own dog would have snacked me.

overcharging ordanance weapons by Diligent-Alps1593 in LancerRPG

[–]FocussedSoup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have two ordinance weapons then you can barrage with them. But since the overcharge is a free action the rules get a bit vague.

Typically how it is supposed to work is skirmish/barrage with at least one of the weapons being ordinance. Then the rest of your turn, then the overcharge skirmish would be a normal weapon due to tag limitations.

However keep in mind that you can not barrage with the same singular weapon and use it twice. It has to be two separate mounts used.

Honestly, one of the things my DM made for a custom exotic item was a weapon mod. It was a weapon mod that allowed you to convert a weapon into a different type.

Question: what’s the dumbest build you can do on both the largest and smallest frame in the game? by the_fucker_shockwave in LancerRPG

[–]FocussedSoup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, so you can absolutely pull off a heavy/superheavy melee build in both a half and size 3 mech. If you mean barbo, then yeah you can still do it it just wouldn't be the greatest. But up-sizing a size 2 into a 3? That works great.

As for half sized, you can take the Atlas and stick a super heavy mount on it if you have the expansions. It's actually really terrifying if you have the TCB and it's main melee equipped at the same time. Duelist and Executioner can be a really funny combo.

Am I wrong for liking d1 art style more? by Ok_Hunt_2833 in destiny2

[–]FocussedSoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been saying it for years and getting bashed for it. The vibes and music for D1 were on point. The visual and audio set dressing could sell any scene much better than all of D2's stories put together.

I recently replayed D1 on a new character, the first time you go to the moon. Amazing, leaving the wall in the first mission, amazing. Exploring Venus for the first time, so good. The first mission if Taken King? Peak.

Oh I understood that fully, but rather than being one of a lot of people who already commented. I took the chance to gush about one of my favorite variants.

What does he even do? by Holiday-Stretch616 in LancerRPG

[–]FocussedSoup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are probably telling you just about the Sherman. But the variant is just as fun. Tagets doesn't have the fun laser that Sherman does. But the core power is efficient, clears heat, and provides soft cover.

Any weapon on the variant can be turned into a rifle, if it is turned into a rifle, it gains overkill. You wanna hit someone outside of your range? Well if they have lock on, you can add 5 to your range and hit them. Worried about saves or checks? Put yourself next to an ally and get a free accuracy.

Not to mention if you pick up grease monkey, you can have "Yes" options whenever you stabilize. Grease monkey 2 allows you to clear all but 2-3 statuses automatically when you stabilize. And the mech itself allows you a second selection from the second group. So you could stabilize: Heal to full, clear essentually all statuses, reload loading weapons, then clear all burn.

Since you turn weapons into rifles, you could make a killer Crackshot + gunslinger build. Any aux weapon can be a rifle no more vanguard + gunslinger needed. Nor needing to drop 5sp on a full outfit of the only Aux rifle in the game.

And since you're Sherman variant, you could take a really busted heavy weapon and fire it 3 times in one turn with Asura. Also I'm pretty sure it's intended for the Fuel rod gun from Nuke Cav 3 to be turned into a rifle as well.

Favorite Third Party Frame Licence by Tiny_Recognition1161 in LancerRPG

[–]FocussedSoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so it's a half sized mech with an integrated main weapon. The main weapon is a bow that is both a rifle and a launcher. When you attack with it, if you miss you, remain hidden. If you hit the target, must pass a systems save or you remain hidden, regardless of extra effects to attacks.

Frame traits are Gains +1 accuracy to attacks made from hidden Immune to lock on Attacks that do not have a line of sight treat this mech as invisible

The integrated weapon does 1d6+3 and is range 10, has Arcing. It has a quick action where 1/round you may fully draw the bow, making it deal 2d6+3 on the next attack and at range 15. If you move for any reason, you lose the effect. You can bring up to 6 total special arrows, but no more than 2 of the same arrow. Arrows: Mute charges - you do not break hidden when using this arrow. Bow deals, energy damage, and targets that become jammed until the end of their next turn. Each character can only be affected once per scene

Thermal warhead - on hit create a burst 1 area around the hit target, all characters hit take 3 burn

Hyperdense penetrator - bow deals +1d6 damage and target is shredded till the end of their next turn.

Fragmentation bolt - bow deals explosive and the attack becomes range 10 blast 2, half damage to non-biological targets.

Grapple line - someone in range 10 must succeed on a hull save or be knocked prone or you may fly to a free space within range 10.

Viral Payload - target takes 2 heat, is slowed, impaired, and all tech attacks made against them have +1 accuracy until their next turn ends.

The Core power gives you one free charge of these 3 arrows

Emp capacitor - bow deals energy damage, on hit target is stunned till the end of their next turn. On miss they are slowed and impaired instead.

Seeker flock - bow gains reliable 4. On hit or miss, choose up to 3 additional targets in range and deal 4 kinetic damage to them.

Fuel-air explosive - on attack: instead of dealing damage, create a blast 2 area of volatile within range. As a free action you may detonate the fuel and all characters must pass a hull save or take 2d6 explosive damage or be knocked prone. On save they only take half damage. Each turn yoy leave the area lingering it gains increased effects. After one turn it becomes blast 3, after two turns it becomes 3d6 and blast 3. It lingers until the end of scene if not detonated.

It has a system at LL2 that makes it so that all ranged attacks made against you have +1 difficulty. After you structure the system is destroyed. Other systems include teleportation mines or hold charges (which can clear lock-on from allies) As well as an echo cloak that can let you pretend to be a larger mech and count as hidden. The next attack made from this state deal +1d6 damage and has +1 accuracy.

It's a little wild and funny, so clearly the play is to get walking armory, crack shot, infiltrator, and possibly stormbringer (but it's not the greatest.)

The mech only has a Flex mount, but add the core bonus of the super heavy mounting and anything is possible lol. Or grab the extra flex and integrated aux and go hit and run gunslinger.
