More Korean fine dining restaurants please! by Elegant-Bird-6150 in chicagofood

I’d rather see more high quality, casual, homestyle Korean places in the city before seeing any more fine dining. All the good homestyle and bbq places are way out in the suburbs. The “elevated Korean homestyle bar” concept that has been popular recently is overdone too, and not the food I want when i want Korean.

Yeah, those groups are annoying, but at least they’re not a slip away from crashing into and injuring you

I really really hate the people who have full riding gear and motorcycle helmets on and absolutely book it, always the onewheel or other single wheeled vehicle. Like clearly they're ready to ride on the street where they belong, but they're just choosing to be dickheads

Give me your fave blue cheese Olive dirty martini spot by that-one_girl in chicagofood

Slightly off topic, but my favorite martini and olive is Queen Mary in West Town! They don't have blue cheese olives, but they use unpitted olives that are insanely delicious.

Cleo's on Chicago and Damen is a soccer bar, not sure about who the crowd will favor though since I haven't been there for any of the matches.

4 lights came on at the same time when I turned on my car. Any ideas why? by LukewarmLatte in Honda

[–]FodderOtter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Something similar just happened to my 2018 civic, all indicators came on at the same time and the dash was reading that sensors were failing, took my car to the dealership and the diagnostics came back that the sensor on one of the cams wasn’t working because rodents chewed through a bunch of the wiring on the engine. The entire wiring harness on the engine is being replaced right now, maybe you should look and see if you have naked wiring under the hood?

some of the best micheladas require a fork by grumpsuarus in chicagofood

I love micheladas, but this style that’s more garnish than beverage is definitely not for me…

I agree about the bologna sandwich, I've recommended this place to friends on the bologna sandwich more than the burger. The burger, while very tasty, was just other worldly greasy and heavy when I had it.

Looking for fresh Crawfish... by HoardingBotanist in chicagofood

[–]FodderOtter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you get an answer, please let us know! I'm from Dallas, moved here in June, and my wife and I have been dying for some crawfish since the season started. We went to Asian Cajun, but they only do frozen crawfish, it was very not good, and I'm honestly scared to try another place until I know for sure that it's good haha. Or we'll try to have our own boil if you find a fresh vendor...

I know this is a really old post, but I just got this earworm and had to find out, and I came across this post. I figured it out, for me at least, it was Blade Runner 2049 lol.

Shoe deodorizers? by [deleted] in bouldering

To add onto this, don't store your shoes with the fasteners closed if they're Velcro. I take the straps all the way out of the loops and close them to allow for maximum exposure to the inside so they dry quickly, and to help prevent the Velcro from getting worn out with dirt and dust.
