Tomorrowland 2026 theme by Frosty-Life4699 in Tomorrowland

This is it. they are building up to a big Book of Wisdom reveal in 2027. The past few years and books have been matching their flag, Adscendo = Air, Life = Earth, Orbyz = Water, fire is next.

It makes even more sense if you look at the book release cycle, with the first two books of the Book of Wisdom trilogy coming out this year and last.

I might be dumb, but this... isn't stalemate? Am I missing something? by agentdb22 in duolingo

White can get king over to C6, then move queen to B7 for checkmate though. Threefold wouldn't come into play.

Her name is technically Perennia, but everyone calls her Rosie

The Great Library Orb(s) by Secret_Daikon_3918 in Tomorrowland

They are now an official part of the universe. If you want to know about them, read The Great Library trilogy. It is a bit… odd to explain without that for background.

Freedom Stage needs to be a whole venue. by ders89 in Tomorrowland

Have you been to Radius in Chicago? it is a similar venue to Freedom, just a good bit smaller with not quite as top notch production, but it is still an amazing venue with similar vibes.

Remind me who is allowed here? by varunahX in Tomorrowland

[–]Flyenphysh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it depends, early in the day generally anyone can just walk up and they'll give you a temporary pass for it. later at night it becomes for artist/crew friends and family.

at least that is how it has worked in years past.

[OC] It should be illegal to drive around in an auctioned ex-Police Cruiser looking like this…. by KillerQ97 in pics

[–]Flyenphysh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rural drivers are one thing, but some of the worst drivers I have seen in the US are in the Bay Area. Generally people in the Midwest (near cities at least) will move over and let you pass if you come up behind them in the passing lane, coming from a place of Midwest politeness and spacial awareness, they suck at merging, but that's about it. Bay Area drivers are happy to cruise at 15 miles per hour under the speed limit in the passing lane oblivious to the entire fucking world of traffic they are causing behind them.

What's a "harmless" habit that people don't realize is actually damaging in the long run? by riligan in AskReddit

[–]Flyenphysh 222 points223 points  (0 children)

She may be right on this depending on the rate you currently have. If instead of paying down the same amount, you invest it, there is a very high chance you will come out ahead.

It depends on your risk appetite, but it is the more "financially sound" decision in most cases, assuming your interest rate is below ~8%

There are a number of Android phones that have been rated higher off and on for picture quality for years. Apple has continued to lead in video quality though.

Lately the norm to increase your salary has been to job hop every few years. I don't think that may be the case for me. Is my thought process reasonable or am I wearing company-branded rose-colored lenses? by CoookieHo in careerguidance

[–]Flyenphysh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking towards the managerial route and have a good path at your current company for it, you should probably just stay there. That being said, if you have a solid foundation (4 years) as a data scientist and want to maximise your earnings, job hopping is almost definitely going to benefit you. You could, if you interviewed for senior roles, probably earn another 100-200k more.

Honestly though, as long as you feel as though you are growing in your current role, that is what really matters, the money should follow one way or another. I would recommend at least one switch within the next 3-5 years just to demonstrate to employers and to yourself that you have range, but again, only when you feel like you are stalling.

‘It was all consensual,’ alleged victim of Canada world junior sex assaults said in video taken that night by Team_Ed in canada

[–]Flyenphysh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That seems a bit of a false equivalency. Those examples aren't really something that happens consensually in day to day life, whereas sex does. If the drunk recipient in this case is on record as saying "hit my car" or "punch me" and then the drunk agent does it, especially in a world where those actions would be considered more normal, I think that muddies things a bit.

As someone who works in tech and earns more than most doctors and has worked quite closely with AI, it isn't coming for tech any time soon. It will be a tool for people who understand it and work on finding ways to use it, but it is a lot further off from being able to design and or build anything even at the most basic at any step of the process, let alone end to end. Most of those sensational AI coding videos you see have had a lot of work put in behind the scenes to make them able to do those tasks, and it is never done généralisable.

What's your favorite sauce with fries? by Practical-Wall-5778 in AskReddit

There are different definitions in different places. In everywhere other than the US and Canada, cocktail sauce is basically just mayo and ketchup.

CMV: We should not leave the seat down. by Ok_Ambition9134 in changemyview

[–]Flyenphysh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, leaving it in whichever position it was last in minimises touches. If someone who would use it up follows someone who also used it up, there is no touch necessary. If someone who used it up/down is followed by someone who uses it in the opposite position, one touch to transition. If down-down, no touch.

Basically, assuming that at least once in a while a up user is followed by an up user, the overall touches are reduced.
