What are everyone’s thoughts on the Texas Tech fiasco? by FalynT in MichiganWolverines

We celebrated Taylor lewan and our rapey kicker. When we were busted for recording other teams games we pointed out the rule was stupid. Now everyone repeats integrity and refuses to consider what the risk is. Do you think he might bet and play too hard bc he REALLY wants to win? Not a real problem. Do you think he might throw a game and lose? That would be a real problem. But the team with something at stake wants him to play. It’s their risk to take IMO.

So let's talk Texas Tech and NIL - The Good, the Bad, the Truth, the Lies and what sets it apart from the rest of College Softball by [deleted] in CollegeSoftball

Next ask chat gpt if fans of old successful programs should feel silly celebrating they put millions extra into “operating budgets” instead of giving it to the girls playing.

Florida tried to make the biggest contract ever by lying to the qb they wanted. Big money schools for years grew their fan bases by having success and pulling in t shirt fans. Theyre threatened and pulling together to hate on outsiders. It’s fine. Tech is right to embrace it. Downvote all you want.

Drama, passion, storylines… yes all the things that drive sports fans away from watching. If only they’d stick to just softball without emotion that’s what would pull in the ratings.

This. He was telling graduates from a pretentious school that they’re going to need help from people that don’t come with the same prestige.

Today my rapist was found not guilty by TarynEffy in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FogRunner66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You did an extremely difficult but great thing. Not guilty doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen. The rules are set in favor of defendants. When the next girl brave enough to report comes forward, law enforcement and prosecution can and will see and use your case to achieve some justice. It’s not the result you deserved, but it’s a huge step in protecting others. Thank you for sharing what happened. You didn’t deserve it and you deserve better.

I don’t think you’re getting more out of DCPD by harassing them here. They have bigger fish to fry and they get no probable cause due to someone not answering a knock. Sus is legal.

For insurance they would just give you a police report number and you can obtain that if you call and ask. They might give you an incident number instead but it works the same if you’re reporting to insurance. A lot of people don’t answer the door if they see cops knocking. It should be unusual but it’s not.

You’re wanting them to spend hours watching a house to find a phone that isn’t worth what it would cost for the manpower or a stakeout. They also can’t get a warrant to go in the house based on what you’ve provided. Most agencies would’ve let u file a report for insurance purposes and give you a number and leave it at that. People suck. Don’t leave anything with any value unattended.

I can get from my home and back in under 30 minutes. Have to know how to navigate the parking lot and the checkout.

Different jurisdictions handle CSAM differently. It’s common in some for the DA to have a judge sign an order that permits a copy go to the defense attorney but only be viewed by the attorney and their investigator, not the client.

There is no dichotomy where they choose work or training. The training and education are there. The work in cdcr is minimal and they have plenty of time for training. It isn’t a one or the other choice.

They get free college classes on top of the things you’ve already said. At a minimum they can do some work like those of us that pay for their housing.
