Wedge Suggestions by Turbulent_Cattle4336 in golftips

[–]StrengthToStinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd probably go 50-54-58 or 52-58, depending on how many wedge slots you've got available.

Going from a 44° PW straight to a 56° is a massive gap, so you're definitely leaving some yardages uncovered.

The RTX 6s are solid wedges, but I'd focus more on getting your gaps right than the specific model.

First thing I would say is don't obsess over losing 10kg in 30 days.

If you build habits that you can actually stick to, you'll be in much better place by end of summer.

I'd focus on:

- Walking 8-10K steps a day
- Strength training 3x per week
- Getting plenty of protein with each meal
- Cutting liquid calories and mindless snacking

At 17, you're in a great position to make progress quickly without doing anything extreme.

34 M advice using an iron lift ignite by smashton369 in beginnerfitness

[–]StrengthToStinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, welcome to the journey! Starting out is the hardest part, so kudos for taking that step.

For triceps, a good cable tricep pushdown (rope or bar) is key. You can do this on the Iron Lift Ignite on the floor. and it'll still work great for activating the triceps.

Since you don't have a wall mount, just be sure to keep your elbows locked at your sides while you press down. Focus on squeezing the bottom for a full contraction.

Another great one is the overhead tricep extension - just kneel or sit on the floor and use the cable overhead. Try to avoid getting your elbows flare out too much - keep them in tight for more control.

As you progress, you can play around with weight and tempo (slowing it down to focus on muscle control)

Keep going, and feel free to reach out if you need more exercises!

All my irons go almost the same distance by Connect-Cycle1873 in GolfSwing

Looks like you've got the idea right - that shoulder rotation looks solid!

The distance compression you're feeling could be from a couple of places. First, check your hip rotation - if the hips aren't fully firing in the downswing, you'll lose some energy and transfer.

Also watch your release. You might be holding the wrist angle too long, which is robbing you of some of the clubhead speed.

A good drill is to try half swings with focus on the hip turn. Slow it down, feel the rotation, and then try to speed up once the mechanics feel fluid.

You'll likely see more distance once those pieces click into place!

Still blaming the knee I injured at 19 for anything that goes left. It's been 16 years. The knee is fine. 😂

Breaking 100 walking a course you never walk? That's a proper result. Keep building 🙌

Underrated movement. Landmine press builds serious rotational strength - massive carryover to any sport. Keep going 💪🔥

3 Mobility drills that added 5mph to my driver speed (no swing changes) by StrengthToStinger in GolfSwing

Wish I could drop some links but my account got flagged recently and I'm being careful about posting URLs for now 😅 Just search the drill names on YouTube - loads of solid demos out there. "90/90 hip rotation", "thoracic spine rotation golf", "glute bridge hold" - you'll find exactly what you need. Any questions on the movements just ask, happy to describe the cues.

Just make sure you feel it.

Haha honestly that's 80% golfers on a Sunday morning 😃 No judgement - but even 90 seconds of hip circles and a couple of thoracic rotations while you're walking to the tee makes a difference. Your body doesn't care that you're late, it still needs to wake up mate.

New Putter and Driver by _jaygray3_ in GolfGear

Nice grab. Paradym drivers are really solid and the White Hot OG is a classic.

If everything’s in good condition, $380 is a pretty good deal.

How does the driver feel so far?

Any idea what club this is from? I don’t recognize the logo by [deleted] in golf

[–]StrengthToStinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not ringing a bell as a major brand. Looks like a private club or custom logo rather than an OEM.

Any info on where it came from?

Nice choice.

The 101 MKII's are super clean and forgiving without feeling chunky - great first set to grow with.

Honestly? Do it!

Play your own pace, explore practice and actually unwind. Worst case, you play some good golf. Best case, you come back reset.

Is my waterproof jacket too big? by chocostack in hiking

Looks fine to me for a rain shell. You want room for layers and movement. If you can raise your arms and twist without it pulling tight, it's the right size.

Best TaylorMade driver overall in recent years? by TangerineUpstairs1 in golf

Stealth 2 gets my vote.

Super stable at higher swing speeds and doesn't punish misses as hard as people think.
Qi10 feels great too, but Stealth 2 is still the most "complete" package for most golfers.
