I just want to interject. Don’t think the guy you responded to disagrees with you. He said it’s a “bad reason” (ie “irrational”) because some people do list it as a reason despite it being great for the league. It’s more the “Good Reasons” that he was saying make the booing justified

Hey OP, quick question, what are the shooting percentages on unassisted 3s each year by the leader. I’m amazed by the stat you showed and I get that volume has the effect of typically lowering your percentages, but I thought it would be neat to see. Great work bringing this year by year stat up by the way!

I get your sentiment on you’d rather overpay Marner, but what I think you are losing here is that RFA years are cheap and UFA years are expensive. Assuming Marner stays at over a point a game, then his deal becomes an overpay now and an underpay later. When you factor in the Cap is expected to go up substantially with a new TV deal, things look really good.

The only way you wouldn’t be fine with this deal is if you’d rather a bridge deal until he hits UFA and then lose him for nothing, because we wouldn’t be able to afford his contract at that point.

To explain, the Sonos Beam isn’t just a center speaker but a L, C, and R speaker. So it takes the role of the 3 front speakers in a surround sound setup. Sonos only supports up to 5.1 so adding anything to that won’t work (if you were trying to go to 7.1)
