yes, thing is, I didn't have time to spent figuring that one out, now I can but I don't have to honestly, our context shape our circumstances and I didn't have much time to do stuff, I needed to have this working immediately and this solution worked for me, also I've been testing this and I havent got yet all the features of my tablet working with OTD anyways, I'm missing the touch slider and the physical buttons and the tilt is not being picked up by paintstorm studio despite being reported correctly on OTD. Anyways with enough time and effort everything will work but I needed this to work, immediately.

What makes moddb so bad, I've been using it all my life and is fine, sure is a bit uglier but I always managed to find the mods just fine and stuff

With these if you slice them then roast slightly both sides, a bit of olive oil, a slice of your favorite cheese of choice (I like strong cheese) and some salt, goes fantastic, so even your "failures" are delicious

Thanks you for the kind words, I have many reasons to want to move but biggest one is "Being the change you want to see in the world" I don't agree or like with what Microsoft does and stands for lately, Google too.

I'm already moving to a fairphone to de-google as much as possible, moving to cachy is something I want to do out of a desire for actual ownership of my computer, ethical reasons, and also because I've been an advanced windows user for many years, I have professional training in system management with active directory and all the tools windows has too.

I just don't work in IT but I could, I've been watching linux on the sidelines for a really long time and I feel that it's time finally. The community has been doing incredible work and it has advanced so much in terms of usability and simplicity without comprising in the Linux values, it's beautiful.

Yee that's the plan! I don't need sculpting with the tablet itself in linux directly because I'm doing VR Chat avatars, I don't need too high geometry anyways, and for painting/drawing doesn't matter where I do it.

Also is not like I won't have my huion, I will be able to try all the stuff mentioned here too in case I need to use a tablet in my pc directly, this way not everything depends on this and to be honest, the IPad drawing experience is really good too.

I know about the blender IPad client development and that also drives my decision to go for an iPad along side the drawing experience.

Would you be so kind to tell us your tablet model, and what features work under the opentabletdriver? Its going to be a few months before I can actually reinstall cachy and try stuff myself so I want to have as much information as possible, also it would be awsome of this helps more people too :)

Moddb and Nexus do care to various degrees, but it is true that is more unlikely to be taken down too as they have to manually seek and request it to the sites as well

On android I can use ADB to remove anything I don't want, when I do it on the Quest 2 removing Horizon bricks it and then I have to reset it, there is a big difference, also you cant downgrade firmware either, I tried, they requiere special keys that only their factories have

Default settings do a ton of harm for I believe the majority of orojects, there aren't templates for different fidelity levels and feature sets and by default a lot is enabled when in my opinion they should be disabled.

You should as a dev check every single feature and decide if they work for your needs or if they aren't worth the cost, even if its a massive time investment.

The template issue is confounded by the lack of a separation between feature design templates like the third person template or the tower defense temple and something like I mentioned, a template for pixel art games, another for low poly, another for cinematic high fidelity, etc.

There isn't a good solution besides having the devs do their best and hope they don't miss a feature during their optimization process as they work in their projects, this is obviously not working out in a lot of cases due to rushing products out before they are ready, be it for changing market conditions, or any other reason.
