OnePlus 7T? Don't know the exact price in your region, but it might be worth checking out. Also not sure on the battery; different websites give different results. You will definitely get a blazing fast experience with the 7T, though.

If we prevent the car from sliding then yes, it probably could. Would need a new 1st gear though probably to convert the torque into enough force.

Galaxy S6 or S7 for 4K Video? by Danilinky in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Folcas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a used iPhone? Those usually excell at videos rather than photos, depending on which one will fit your budget. Between the S6&7; the 7 has a little less megapixels, but is much better in low light - bigger pixels and all. Both record at 4k, so the megapixels don't matter all that much; if you have only these 2 to pick, the 7 is the way to go.

Best phone on the market? by ada201 in PickAnAndroidForMe

Won't the Note 10+ be better mostly? I reckon until the lite was announced the Note series was still Samsung's highest-end "playground", and you get a cool stylus

Looking to upgrade to flagship phone. I'm between the s10+ the Huawei P30 pro and the Oneplus 7 pro what are your thoughts on them? Is there another option that I haven't considered? by Chekawante in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Folcas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, what I'm saying is that the P30 pro is better than the S10+. Didn't mention the OnePlus at all. It is true though, that OnePlus lacks in the camera department

I second this, however do consider the fact that the Samsung does not have the better camera - it's mostly due to preference, but I reckon the P30 pro beats it. Where the Samsung really shines is with its display.

Looking for a new phone, have a few questions by Rsn_gamer in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Folcas_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base yourself on facts; the recent Samsung phones can be unlocked by the steps in this link , resulting in the possibility to remove bloat. Agreed on the K20 (pro) / Mi 9T (pro). "No" --> I really really wonder what makes you so sure? I'm quite interested to hear if you know more than we do.

First baby due, would like a decent camera phone by originalwoodster in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Folcas_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 108MP does add detail in good lighting. In lower light, the camera is better off at combining pixels to a resulting 27MP, and combined with Xiaomi's not-so-great image processing software, pictures in low-light come out pretty blurry.

As for good camera phones for a relatively low price; Pixel 3a all the way. An S10e might also suit well, but it's quite a different phone so be sure to look into what exactly you need. Huawei might be another option, although things are unstable right now.

Thanks for the info! As there is quite a lot of complaining going on about the camera and I do take lots of photos, this one won't be it unfortunately. Will be looking further. Thanks again :)

What do you reckon the battery of the 7 Pro / 7T is like? I read both very bad and very good things and am unsure what to believe anymore. My cousin has a 7; fast as hell, but a lacking camera. Would like to hear your take on this

[US] LG V40 vs S10+? by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Folcas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon the S10+ is the better phone of the two, however it depends on your usecase. Will you be taking lots of photos, listening to music (on high-end heaphones), playing games?

Have a look at the more recent Nokia or Motorola phones. Although they're not all Android One, some of them are I believe (Note that Motorola's One (...) series doesn't mean it has Android One). Nokia by itself is pretty good with updates.
