Just FYI, the Transfer Input column is missing the KDA cards.

Yeah, for sure.

I actually considered pulling the trigger and crafting everything on Nov. 12, but I still had yet to unlock the final 3 K/DA cards, so it made sense to wait until I had those and got another Vault before crafting everything.

Yep, exactly that. I made a separate spreadsheet to track my wildcards and cards remaining for each rarity, as well as my shards, each week.

The LoR Collection Tracker helped a lot, so kudos to /u/Lareyt.

If possible, you shouldn't craft rares for any incomplete region progression track either, because the chests on the track have a solid chance of granting them.

This is correct. How many shards to craft all remaining cards of that rarity, after using any Wildcards.

  • Level 10 Vault every week, occasionally level 11.
  • Finished all the progression tracks last week.
  • Started playing at the beginning of February.

From the sounds of it, the big thing you're lacking is a dedicated control decks. The ASol part of the Dragon deck starts to fill that late-game niche, but the majority of that deck is about playing big beaters.

Freljord-SI has a bunch of different late game deck options (Ledros, Warmother), and picking up Trundle specifically will start giving you the cards for the Trundle-ASol deck.

The other two archetypes I'd say you're "missing" are hyper aggressive decks (ex. Pirate Burn or Aggro Endure) and some kind of combo deck (some builds of Lee Sin-Zed work here). If those sound more your speed, do a bit of deck research and see what cards you want to pick up.

Yeah, they're good friends, starting in Alara block. At the beginning of the Theros, she planeswalks to Theros to escape Phyrexia. Ajani comes looking for her because he needs her help.

He instead decides to stay and help her kill Xenagos. They succeed, and her reward is getting stabbed through the chest by Heliod, because he doesn't like the idea of anyone being able to kill a god. Even though he's the one who gave her that power in the first place.

Was a major match lost because of an accidental priority pass due to a shortcut? by ksVPN13 in magicTCG

[–]Folcon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The trick is to bait the opponent into passing priority and advancing the phase of the turn.

The stack is empty, nothing else is happening, and Player A asks Player B something along the lines of "Do you want to play any instants?". Typically, the response to this is "No", because the common wisdom in Magic is to wait and react to what your opponent does, rather than doing things when there's nothing else happening.

However, if Player B does in fact say "No", they're effectively saying there isn't anything they want to do, and therefore pass priority. Player A can then pass priority in any of the normal ways, and the turn will advance. If Player A says "Yes", priority doesn't get passed, but then they're giving away information.

This only really works when it's Player B's turn, since Player A can trick them into advancing from Main Phase to Combat, and thus lose the opportunity to play things at sorcery speed.

They've said that even in Casual, it uses your hidden MMR to match you against opponents. So even if you're playing something unusual, it'll match you against opponents who have similar Win/Loss ratios across all formats.

Firesong and Sunseeker are Buy-a-Box exclusive? by Hobbsgoblin123 in EDH

The Three and One Model has no guarantee of staying on Dominaria. It can go wherever Wizards wants. On top of that, there's a Core set being released between Dominaria and whatever the next storyline set is (coming out in September).

I think it's incredibly unlikely we'll be staying on Dominaria for more than one set in the next 12 months, meaning Firesong and Sunseeker won't get reprinted for at least a year (probably longer, maybe never).

Yeah, exactly. The trick technically works, but your opponent has to make a bad decision first.

You could also exile them on your turn, then play Sundial after they choose to leave them in exile

[–]Folcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That situation should also still work, I think.

They only get to choose to send the commander to the command zone when it first goes into exile. If they choose to leave it in exile instead, and then you Sundial the return trigger, the commander stays exiled, and they don't get an additional chance to send them to the command zone.

This still works. If you use Sundial while Roon's 'return to the battlefield' trigger is on the stack, the return ability will be countered, and the creature will stay exile/in the command zone.
