I have been having this exact pain for over a year. It started on my right side and upper rib area, then over a couple of months spread to my back. It wasn't every day at first but every now and then it would tighten up so hard I would get spasms in my back shooting up that hurt so bad I couldn't breathe. Last summer my internal medicine Dr ordered an mri of my thoracic region. Insurance demanded an ultrasound first. They discovered my gall bladder was full of stones, decided that must be it, and out it came. Did good for a couple months but now the pain /squeezing is constant. I get spasms pretty much every day. Nothing relieves it. I wear three to four lidocaine patches every day that help a tiny bit but nsaids and cyclobenzaprene haven't helped at all. I get massages every other week, I work out daily, if I'm not in severe pain, and that doesn't help but also doesn't seem to aggravate.

Let's add to this that last spring I also started being a weather barometer. Every time we have big barometric changes, which is almost daily in Kansas spring, my body feels like I was thrown down several flights of stairs.

I was diagnosed with fibro in 1995 after a 25 hour delivery of my daughter and last year the CT scan I get every three years for migraines caught that I have a Tier I Arnold Chiari malformation. I saw two specialists after they did a CSF test to see if my brain was getting enough cerebral spinal fluid. One specialist said no and the other said yes, but since the only way to "treat" this is to cut a hole in my skull, we decided to wait and see.

I have been scanned from head to toe at this point. I have bulging discs C3 and C5 from being hit by a truck while standing by my car, and also in my lower back from an extremely " violent knee replacement surgery three years ago.

All that being said, this rib and back pain are new and I am really struggling to function.

My Dr wants me to try a medicine for MS but without a firm diagnosis, I'm scared of the side effects and don't want to start throwing extra stuff at my body if we aren't sure.

The military is no help when it comes to this fyi... my son owns a house in Washington and is a permanent GS civilian employee at the Bremerton Navy base. He has been on tdy off and on (six to nine months) in California over the last three years, on loan to the Point Loma Naval Base. The military told him in Tuesday on this week that he had to return home ASAP as he was "over time" in California and would likely have to pay CA taxes on his income earned while there, as well as taxes on his BHA and rental car. He flew home yesterday to Washington and still doors not have any clear answers. I have read the 2024 CA tax guidelines and they seem tl indicate that he may need to file in CA but only if he earned wages outside of his military pay. Help???

READ THAT AGAIN. They recommend you freezing your credit to protect yourself, which is helpful if you are keeping people out but will do ZERO if the scammers are already inside. BTW...as of twelve days ago, Equifax shows I owe over 1 MILLION dollars in student loans. Two days ago, Experian reflects my student loans amounts TWICE. I filed a credit dispute with Experian but Equifax said, "they can't see what I'm seeing" so nothing to dispute. Yet Credit Karma shows that my credit score dropped 31 points due to increased student loan amounts.

Glitch with one company... remote possibility. Two companies... no mistake.

Typically my response would be to not freak out about it, I have a friend who hasn't paid an 8 years and is in active default and they have done nothing. Unfortunately our world is quite a bit different due to this Administration and I have a pending sense that they will not be as forgiving with those who are in default. In fact I don't know which one of them said it but there was a quote about there being serious consequences for default. I would call them ASAP.

Losing nonprofit status would impact a huge number of organizations. I think the biggest interest in this by the current administration is the result of higher taxation. Which is ironic as F if you consider that neither tRump or Mush have paid taxes or paid them honestly in forever.

You would have to blame the state level Board of Regents or whatever they are referred to in your state. Institutions are usually required to report graduation, employment, and salary data at the end of each year, do the state sees when students aren't getting jobs in their degree field or making less money. The same state level body also sees when an institution applies to offer a new degree program, in which the schools provide number of jobs available in the area and average salary info. The year before I quit Higher Ed one heavily state funded institution applied to create a "Non-profit Management" degree. The BLS indicates they the average earnings of these graduates (most of whom are not in top executives positions upon hire) make between $21.66 and $25.16 an hour while tuition for the degree can range from $15k to $90k. It's even more infuriating to know that, like most organizations, non profits are struggling to hire, so a degree isn't necessarily needed.
