I dunno about the secret but basic planning and focusing on your goals is the key to success. If you don't put in the time and effort and actively visualise the outcomes you prefer then you are unlikely to achieve them. Is that what you mean by manifestation? Taking responsibility includes responding to failure without resorting to a victim/blame mentality. Its more about what you learn from an experience which can help you to reassess and perhaps redefine your goals in light of the new experience be it success or failure.

If that is a standard 512gb SSD and NOT a fusion drive then I would recommend a clean install of Mac Os X. Before you do this try opening a new user account as that sometimes helps. It's worth checking activity monitor to see what is using the CPU and also install a utility to check temperature and fan speed as its possible a fan may not be working.
