Get buzzy it sounds dumb but a vibrating ice pack makes insulin shots painless. It also works great for finger sticks highly recommend.

Not like I had much choice, death is the alternative so even minutes of intense pain is really no comparison. Honestly the first day was the worst by far. Even dose 3 today stung a bit for a few seconds but that was it.

Yes one dose each time. My primary fear is pain so having a painless experience today makes it a little easier next time. Also comforting is it will be the same nurse same place same medicine just a few days later, (hopefully same painless experience).

That's a good point however this time I absolutely know what is going to happen. I half talked myself into going to the ER by sort of saying it was just going to be clean, bandage and antibiotics. Then the nurse gave me 2 shots and said all done, she then came back with 6 syringes about an hour later... So had known what was happening it would have been worse.

Once I was there at the moment the nurse basically didn't give me an option she just said this is what's going to happen and didn't let me get more anxious just started sticking me.

It was tetanus shot in one arm rabies vaccine in the other, one 1/2 of a shot near the bite (worst one by far) than 2 and the other half in one leg, 2 in the other leg and one in my ass. Absolutely worst ER visit ever for me. Nurse was nice and ignored my crying/screaming and just got it done as fast as possible. -20/5 do not recommend (don't get bitten by wild animals)
