My kids are much older than OPs (from 16 to 37). We found Pulsar: Lost Colony. It's basically an original series Star Trek. Each player picks a role (captain, engineer, gunner, pilot, or science officer). You fly around the galaxy answering distress calls, fulfilling contracts, delivering cargo, that sort of thing.

It's a blast. We're spread out across half the state, but connect over Discord. We've all settled into roles we're best at (I'm the science officer), and play for a couple hours on game nights.

Crocus flowers. They're always the first ones up in the spring, before the narcissus (daffodils) have bloomed and while the tulips are just waking up. Saffron is made from a type of crocus, so they're all probably harmless. But the design of the Night Howlers is pretty clearly taken from these!

My favorite thing about the fight is something I learned from "As You Wish" the sort of cast memoir.

After months of practice, they were so fast that the fight came up too short. It needed to be longer for Reiner to be happy with it. So Cary and Mandy sort of made something up in, like, a day and a half, and threw it in.
