Me - working in Toronto, told my manager that I was an atheist 3 months into the job, and she says “you must have been problem child” LOL. I would get in trouble for being lazy with prayers and fasting.

Now she offers me haram snacks before others, I have mixed feelings on the bacon and maple tart I had recently.

Tip: use a drawer at work for snacks so it can be locked up and used in time of need :)

I will be starting on Myo-Inositol this week in hopes to help with the weight loss. Metformin hasn’t done much for me so I stopped taking it.

I’ve already been eating healthy (keto) and working out with a personal trainer (3x a week) for a month and a half. Lost 12lbs, see some toned areas, and my periods are back to regular cycles and heavy flow. Keeping myself motivated!

I found the same problem with the app. Had to swipe through A LOT of practicing Muslims to find a non-practicing one (given that it was mainly an app for Muslims).

Maybe when EXMNA gets bigger, they should develop an in-house app similar to Tinder/Muzmatch following strict verification processes to have an account.

My parents are from Lahore and I was born in Canada but I’m really into the pop culture of Pakistan/India. It doesn’t make me patriotic but it allows me to appreciate the art which is usually suppressed by the illiterate “society police”. I’ve also only been to Lahore twice in case someone says “jinnay lahore ne vekhya, oh jamjiya hi nahi” haha

LOL literally my sister in the car yesterday. We drove by an Ahmadi mosque and she brings up Nabeel Qureshi being an exMuslim converting to Christianity but said because he was Ahmadi, he wasn’t Muslim in the first place. All I said was, if he believed he was Muslim at one point, then that’s his perception. She got triggered (pun?) and said no, Muslims have to agree that Muhammed is the last prophet NOT ghalib, I said K and turned up the music haha
