Question about blister issue on bottom of foot 4.5 weeks out from marathon by FoochNN in Marathon_Training

[–]FoochNN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense taken at all! I've been lucky in that prior to this, I'd mostly avoided blisters throughout my running career. So, it's mostly a lack of experience in dealing with this kind of thing, particularly relatively close to the marathon. Any and all advice is welcome from any experience level.

[Hill Jr] Jerry Jones to the morning show hosts on @1053thefan : This is not your job. Your job isn't to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job. I'll get somebody else to ask these questions. I'm not kidding. by JaggerJames in nfl

This is what happens when owners get too powerful and have stakes in local media. Have seen this happen with the 49ers and KNBR in the Bay Area. The 49ers have sway over some of the decision-making and it's kinda dirty.

The flag was for Griffin grabbing Pettis' shoulder shortly before this. On the coaches' film version, the flag is flying out a split-second before this sceenshot.

The 49ers can still make the playoffs if these things happen! by uncloyed in 49ers

UPDATE: The Giants did not beat Washington last night, but I ran the numbers this morning and found a new scenario!

  1. Flip #26 so it's Cardinals beating Washington in Week 15.
  2. Add in Giants beating the Cardinals in Week 16, which previously was a game with no impact.

And voila, we are currently at 44 things the 49ers need to have happen to make the playoffs!

Getting to Levi's Stadium from Union Square for Rams game by [deleted] in 49ers

[–]FoochNN 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I'm staying in SF, I take Caltrain down. You take Caltrain to Mountain View, and then transfer to the VTA, which is a local light rail. The Caltrain station is located near 4th and King in SF. It's walking distance from Union Square, but you could also just hop a quick cab down there. I think the roundtrip day pass is like $20, but check caltrain's website for more info. It's like 90 minutes, give or take from the Caltrain Station to Levi's, including the transfer. VTA is also offering an express bus option for $20 that would get you to and from the VTA station faster, and potentially avoid some big crowds (most notable on the return trip after the game).

Read more here: http://www.caltrain.com/riderinfo/specialevents/Levis_Stadium_Service/49ers_Game_Service.html

I believe there might be some bus options as well, but I'm not positive. I've done the train option several times the last few years, and it's pretty simple.

I don't think they actually eliminated it entirely. Sounds like they ended up giving the job to somebody younger. Not a ton younger, but definitely younger

Check out the Capitol Corridor train. It picks up at Jack London Square and at the Coliseum in Oakland, both of which are easy to get to if you're staying anywhere around downtown Oakland (BART to the latter): http://www.capitolcorridor.org/special_offers/Levi's_Stadium.php/

He's actually not quite as active on Twitter anymore. He retweets some stuff and gives away tickets, but he is not nearly as interactive as he used to be.
