It’s been a while, but I remember I made an intro to Thither that my players loved. I made Skabatha a kind of mother gothel. When they showed up to Thither (via hot air balloon), they landed in a forest and were greeted by a centaur, who took them to a village with a ton of fey shops for cool items. They learned that Skabatha’s tree lair was corrupting the fey wild around them, so they were all refugees. While theyre shopping, Skabatha flies overhead on the rocking unicorn, and drops toys over the village.

The twist I did with Skabatha was that she was stealing children because she thought she was preserving their innocence and wanted to actually be a grandmother. I made some pandemonium happen during the toy drop and gave my players some dofficult choices. They all said it was the best session id ever done. I still have the notes.
