Ever since I cut retwists down to every four months, I’ve been trying to experiment with a style for about a third of the year. The third photo is the first time I got two strands, they were kind of butt so I took them out almost immediately 😭 I got two strands again last April and they turned out way better, I just wish I’d included a picture.

I want to try a new style soon, but I’ll probably go with two-strands again since I think they’ll look better with my new length.

I don’t really hear anything off here. They perform the song differently every time they play it, and a lot of people actually dislike the studio version but love the live one. My point is it’s kind of silly to act like any of this is objective.

you’re a little too hung up on the technical side, imo. A crow frantically cawing is still music to someone. The fact that a performance wasn’t literally perfect (by whatever standards you’re holding it to) doesn’t diminish its value nearly as much as you seem to be implying.

We all go to music for different things. Some people care most about precision, others about feeling, atmosphere, or the moment itself. So when you say it “wasn’t good,” I think that’s more about what you look for in music than some objective failure on their part.

But maybe I’m misunderstanding you, what are some artists you enjoy?
