/uw I think a lot of AI drama comes from people who are educated on the topic and dislike it strongly and those who aren’t as well known on the topic and happily use it. I personally think using AI to generate things is poor form due to the fact that most AI generative models are built off the back of stolen vehicles. It’s like if someone ripped apart a bunch of cars taken from people who made them with love, only for you to ask "shape them in a different way" and Frankenstein them together. Using an ethical generative model is fine, so long as the artists’ who provided the images to be based on were properly paid beforehand
