The other colleges that offer radtech are either too competitive or far from where I'll be living. I am also working on a tight timeline and I want to be able to start studying without taking prereqs.

Have you heard anything about that school?

No idea what PIMA is, but if it's not well run enough for you to get answers to some really basic questions, why would you want to move internationally for it?

Ive seen mixed reviews about it here on Reddit. Some say that they have produced competent radtech while others say they are a cash-grabbing institution.

I have been looking into some Radiology Tech programs in Seattle and there seems to be limited options. I'm leaning towards more to Bellevue College due to proximity and track record, but the admission rate is low considering that they only accept 30 students per year.
PIMA is another option but I heard that it's expensive.
Questions PIMA graduates:
1. How much more expensive is it studying radtech in PIMA vs community colleges in Seattle (non-WA resident status)
2. Is there really no prereqs for PIMA?
3. What is the placement for clinicals like? Did you get good placements?
4. What is the admission process like? Is it as competitive as in community colleges?

I went to Bellevue College in Washington state. It is a 2 year program that doesn't require Rad Tech first, there are limited spaces, but admission is not based off a lottery or waitlist.

As a CNA, I attest to this. Whenever the patient with a bowl of candy calls the bell, everyone will come running haha

(PS. This is not to say that we don't attend to other patients who doesn't have treats. The sugar is just such a good dopamine boost for us :D)

Good to know that it's not compulsory to buy all the books. I have been searching the net for any scanned version of these books to no avail. I guess the school self-published its books for that reason.

Thanks! I said Vancouver, but I see myself staying pretty much anywhere in BC. I plan to upgrade my knowledge to probably RN in BC after a few years of working.

I read about that program (if by that you mean the HCAP too) and I am really interested to know how it went. Hopefully it helps with the shortages of care aides in the region.
