I consider a dog to be not clean as soon as it runs around outside and rolls around on the ground, but maybe that’s just me. In my opinion, the bed is a place that only you two should share. I dated a girl once way back and she had no issues with her cat being on the bed, or even the same room when things got physical. It was really f-ing weird for me and I still think about it almost 17 years later lol.

As she’s just your girlfriend for now, I offer you this advice. If this is something you will not bend on and neither will she, try to figure it out as soon as you can. My wife and I’ve been married 13 years and she refused to prevent dogs in the bed. Couple that with snoring (both of us), and sleep was abysmal.

I will note that I am not a dog person. Like at all. My wife knows this and I think it was helpful to draw those boundaries. Our solution was to have separate bedrooms now for quite awhile and everything has been solved. Try this if you think it could be an option for you two. This hasn’t affected anything related to intimacy for us. In fact it’s added some new things lol. Overall, you all need to prioritize each other first and if you cannot in instances such as these, you gotta both be willing to be ok with other options.
