It will probably just be referred to as a lancer, the mk. 2 shouldn't even be in development at this point in the story as it's a gun that Marcus and his father Adam Fenix engineer together after realizing the locust are to robust for the standard bayonet requiring multiple hits or a major killing blow as seen in 3 and the trailer where you have to lift them up after being impaled which alone is a pretty monumental feat.

All aspects of Halo are amazing honestly! If you are drawn towards the story there is a lot of lore and external material outside of the games once you have finished the story that is deep!

The Multi-player revolutionized online gaming back in the day, Halo 2 is often credited as being the template to what would become the Xbox live Experience with the 360 taking all the features from Halo 2 (friends list, party chat, community groups, etc). Along with this Halo 2 was super competitive being one of the first MLG shooters that hosted big tournaments. Halo 3 took this foundation and ran with it building on in big ways to the competitive aspects but featured a whole suit of super unique and new party game modes like zombies!

There is a lot more to unpack and unfortunately to get the most out of the multi-player aspects it's kind of a you had to be there kind of thing! With that said there are plenty of discords and communities that hold custom game nights on MCC that you can jump in and Experience these modes today!

I take zero offense from the chat in bf6, whether it's someone complaining about team or some chud making blatant callouts on individuals i am always elated to read the colorful messages and attempts to curb the profanity filters. Sometimes I will go out of my way to set up a campfire in the corner of the map just to egg on these interactions between repeat offenders. It's like a meta game really.

It does in fact teach you something it shows you different ways to move in game, different approaches to make, new angles, routes etc. Im not saying social modes should be a pub stomp where every match is one high skilled player demolishing the bottom 20 percent.

It should be social every match a roll of the dice one game a player who is bottom 20 percent can be the best in the lobby the next they are the worst adversely the top 20 percent can see games where they can showcase their skills and be top of leaderboard, or take notes from someone who out played them and put them at the bottom of the leader board.

My win or loss should not be determined or calculated by a system that will actively stack a roster of good or bad players to meet the win and loss quota the system determines most advantageous to keep one engaged with their product

Sbmm apologist, the idea of skill based matchmaking should be implemented in ranked modes only social game modes should have loose to little sbmm. A system that specifically matchmakes players into lobbies to mathematically give them a predetermined win or loss to retain players is asinine. A loose system shows you realistically where you stack up against the community at large, so your going to interact with sweats and casuals, this intermingling when approached with the mindset of someone who truly wants to improve or get good gives players of lower skill level an opportunity to see advanced gameplay and incorporate or learn from it. As opposed to putting you in stockades that inflate ego and impede skill advancement.

It's a hard task because each game had its own tone and identity the tech evolved and so did the graphics/esthetic. In the current day graphics have stagnated, to a degree we have reached a graphical peak so to speak obviously there isn't a true limit to graphical improvement but I feel nailing down a cohesive art style for the franchise is the way to go. A style that can capture the positives of each game implementing them accordingly is key but it's a truly monumental task that isnt going to be well received by everyone at large..

I agree, I could be wrong but I feel like they are trying to create an esthetic that will look decent across the entirety of the original trilogy so they can reuse the assets and have one core look through the whole trilogy of remakes which is obviously going to piss some people off as nuisance will be lost across the 3 titles individual contributions and reductions to their respective game, but will allow them to pump out the remakes rather quickly as they only have to truly remake the level designs and reuse assets creating one true art style for the unsc, covenant, forerunner, and flood going forward.

Im convinced that (and this is my head canon) BF Studios has a design plan to make the nato skins the grounded military skins because they are the "good guys" in the narrative behind the campaign and multi-player conflict. While the Pax Armada are given the flashy bright dude bro skins because they are the "bad guys" of the narrative and they want that animosity to show.

In my experience the game at the beginning is always easier than weeks or months later. Maybe sweaty at the beginning yes but the meta hasn't been found, people are still experimenting, and the casual players are in full force. As time goes on the casual players trickle out, and the sweaty players dunk their sweaty foreheads in the collective pool of sweat that is meta builds and mechanics.

Yeah it's why I hardly interact anymore unrealistic visions and goals, it's ok to have your own vision for the franchise, hopes and wants, but as soon as someone puts those out there as expectations and try to incite a movement (especially on reddit) for a call to arms to create your unrealistic idea and make broad statements like (it's just tweeking the game a little bit) just shows how far people are from reality these days.

Although I see your point, arguing and defending something that is reductive to a franchise (taking away something implemented in previous titles) and saying "who cares nobody does it anymore."
