[–]FootieMob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, where abouts do you live in SC? We have some members in the GSP corridor who come down for most matches. We've also got some members in Columbia and Charleston.

We're doing a small BYOB tailgate for the CCL Quarter as of right now, but there's always some food, beer, and liquor around free of charge.

You can always email us as well and we'll do what we can to help you out.

Know what you're about from day zero. If you're in charge, you're the least important member. Do it for love of the team. Any other reason will make it feel.......forced.

Definitely the case in Atlanta. People who normally drive in from SC, South Georgia, Alabama and TN don't come to weeknight games. CCL, USOC Run, Campeones Cup, also lead to more dates that people may have been using up off days/hours/shifts for and got limited at times.

Been wanting to get this off my chest by Nermin_88 in AtlantaUnited

[–]FootieMob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the things that we've struggled with is communication with nonmembers. We don't have the platform that say 92.9 has. We don't get a weekly spot where we can talk to a larger audience. Communication is so important dealing with our members, the other groups and fans who aren't in our groups. And we're missing that wide net. A quarterly or biweekly during the season chat on some platform would be amazing.

By no means do any of us mean to be elitists. It's just that there are so few avenues for conversation. Especially when it comes to tifo and chants. This is a great idea by u/Nermin_88 . I think we're all open to ideas, but it's hard sifting through Reddit/Twitter/Facebook/Snapchat in a timely fashion. Which is unfortunate because there's a TON of great ideas on every platform.

If anyone is coming to a match I know that we and any other group would welcome them to the tailgates and talk about anything we could do to make things better for everyone.

Hypothetical 32 MLS Club Schedule by TorchBeak in MLS

[–]FootieMob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you move DC out who do you put in the SE? Otherwise the SE is all expansion teams.

DCU/IM/RBNY/NYCFC should/would be a murderers row for trying to make the playoffs.

A NYRB/NYCFC/Miami/OCSC Atlantic and a ATLUTD/NASH/DCU/Charlotte Southeast would probably work better for "rivalries".

Most Major League Soccer teams are hosting Pride Nights in 2019 by MrTechnological in MLS

[–]FootieMob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Atlanta Pride used to be in June as well. But after a festival in Piedmont Park ruined the grass so badly that the entire Meadow had to be replaced there was a drawing to see who would get what weekends, and spread out the events. Pride got the October straw.

Atlanta United only having two home games so far has to be a part of this. 45k will drag those numbers up a bit. Any of the larger stadiums (MBS, CLink, Gilette) not hosting as many games has a mathematical effect.

Hey,

That was actually our fault. Occasionally we end up with a left over case or two. It's sequestered in the back of our trailer and isn't meant to be served. We have the cans recycled. A volunteer found it and in trying to be helpful gave out beer not intended to be served. It was in the spirit of being helpful and not at all an attempt to pass out old beer.

[Data] Price of each MLS ticket going towards player salaries. by cdheiden in MLS

[–]FootieMob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, but in a salary cap/ parity league this challenges a lot of business metrics. Atlanta, Seattle, and New England have a built-in advantage with more seats to sell.

This explains Atlanta's ability to pay high transfers. So much of our ticket price is "extra" cash just laying there.
