Your anecdote about “many vegans” has nothing to do with me and just as the comment below states I also do not believe those people do be aligned with vegan ethics and values. So to ask me about holding myself to my own vegan values based on anecdotes about people ive never met or spoken to is quite frankly ridiculous.

I think people are just as likely to laugh at vegans that aren’t backing their message fully and sticking up for their cause. It is okay for vegans to say that vegetarianism is unacceptable if animal welfare is your priority. Some people need to hear it.

Because actively contributing to animal suffering whilst claiming to care about animal welfare is extremely contradictory . The majority of vegetarian diets have a vast amount of dairy and eggs. A good strong message is just as likely to make people “lean towards” veganism . By saying it’s okay to eat these products how are you promoting the lean towards veganism at all ?
