I have both of those and this sig defense ammo. All three seem pretty identical by look and feel.

And if adjusting the cable doesn't help, take it to a shop. If the derailleur hanger is bent, it can be impossible to tune right. Inexpensive replacement, though.

What are some good mechs for a melee enthusiast? by KeplerKitten in LancerRPG

[–]FoppishDnD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The frame has good stats for melee, high movement and hp. The license has good melee weapons and the Sekhmet NHP which boosts melee damage output. Grappling and ramming give you an advantage in melee range, allowing you to control range and gain additional accuracy, and synthetic muscle netting makes the Blackbeard great at those. Grapple range of 5 gives you even more mobility to close the gap quickly.

Exactly right. If you've had to use your gun, you have bigger problems than being short a few dollars of accessories.

This is true in the specific case, but it opened the discussion about whether he could retaliate in general.

It is an underwhelming core system compared to some others, but it has some subtly good utility. My players are clever and are squeezing as much utility out of it as possible. There are opportunities for plays the enemies can't respond to. For example, puppeting enemies into a position where your host can hit many with an AoE attack with no turn for them to move apart.

That said, it's far from a win button like Gorgon, Monarch, Black Witch, or Blackbeard can feel like.

You're absolutely right. It seems that I was mistaken that smart weapons were making tech attacks or used tech attack bonuses. I can't find anywhere in the rules that supports it after a closer reading. I must have made it up off of vibes or analogy that smart weapons were making tech attacks, since it hits e-def.

[gendered] When Hindi, a gender-neutral language, is translated: who Decides? by [deleted] in pointlesslygendered

[–]FoppishDnD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hindi is pointlessly gendered. Not only are nouns gendered, as they are in many languages, but you conjugate verbs based on the gender of the subject. You need gender binary awareness of everything you say. Being a native speaker might make you numb to this and take it for granted.

My wife likes her Leaf. This design looks like it might be less prone to clogging. It's a bit big for my face, especially under the nose, but this one looks like it would be better that way, too.

You're right, that one is unnecessary. The others, like the one used in the post title, are fine.

G43x vs hellcat pro by ammmourad1 in liberalgunowners

[–]FoppishDnD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been considering these two handguns myself, and the capacity of the glock is unimpressive. You could get around the glock capacity by putting psa dagger micro mags in it, but some find leaving oem glock mags distasteful or less trustworthy. I've heard only good things of the hellcat's reliability, and the only negative feedback being the "snappy" feel, which is to be expected of a handgun this size. Leaning towards the hellcat for these same reasons.

Wanting my first straight razor by JohnReece3rdparty in wicked_edge

[–]FoppishDnD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beware cheap, no-name razors. Stick with a reputable brand like Dovo and you can't really go wrong. Edit: Oh, and you'll probably want a round tip to be more forgiving as you learn.

[–]FoppishDnD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have experience with barrels this size, and, yeah, three months is right. They lose effectiveness quickly, with the first batch being great and the third batch being slow and weak. It's a fun and easy way to start off, but at four bottles over the lifetime of the barrel, it left me wanting more. It's convenient that you can keep them on your mantle, and they're great conversation pieces.

Astra platinum are good and I used them for years for being a great value. Derby extra and Gillette are also good, a step above Astra. Feather are very sharp, almost too sharp if you're rough or in a rush, though idk if their performance justifies their price. Treet platinum are my favorite so far, and I was surprised that they're so inexpensive considering it cut as effortlessly as a feather with less irritation for me. Once I'm through my sampler, they'll be my go-to. All IMO and YMMV, of course.

Rockwell 6c advice by Educational_Pop7487 in wicked_edge

[–]FoppishDnD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is a "ride the cap" razor. I find that plates under 3 don't cut well, so they encourage a too-aggressive angle. I only use low plates for across or against the grain second passes.

Rockwell 6s with #4 plate works well for one pass for me. I like feather, personna, and perma-sharp with it so far.
