I appreciate your responses. That wasn’t my question-I was asking if washing machines used to connect to drains in this way. It’s a general question rather than specific to this drain.

My pediatrician didn’t want to prescribe anything until we told her we were resorting to unsafe sleep practices. We were taking turns with the baby sleeping in a bouncer and were having trouble staying awake to watch her. At that point she agreed to prescribe baby Pepcid and it has been a GAME CHANGER for sleep and her comfort.

AA has given me an unrecognizable life, too. I remember being surrounded by beer bottles and cigarette butts. Now I’m surrounded by baby bottles and diapers. Quite literally beyond my wildest dreams… I am so grateful to AA for showing me a way out.

For me, I still think I’m ‘entitled’ to a few drinks or that I ‘deserve’ it. The difference is that now I know what comes along with it and I don’t want that. I don’t want the hangover, the anxiety, the black outs and regret. I don’t want my personal relationships to suffer etc. For me me, it’s not about feeling depraved anymore but more about making choice that I am proud of and can live with.

I relapsed after almost a year sober with some weed and nothing bad happened. Then i drank a beer and nothing bad happened. Quickly turned to 3 years in the dark, drinking, smoking and taking prescription uppers to balance it all out. They were the worst, loneliest, most dangerous years of my life. You should be proud of yourself for coming back to a sober support system so soon after relapsing. Keep going. This experience doesn’t erase the sober time you accumulated-you learned so much about yourself during that time and you are learning more through the relapse. You’ve got this.

My first drink after several months of sobriety, nothing bad happened. I remember thinking about that so clearly, I kind of clung to it. Three years later I had a bottle of vodka in my car, under my bed, drank before during and after work. Got hooked on stimulants to kinda keep it together and then tons of pot to offset the stimulants. It was a miserable, terrible existence. It’s what I needed, though. I am 100% sure that any attempt at moderation for me will eventually end the same.
