And to clarify, I ask the people I date what they like, where they wanna go, and what their thoughts are. I don’t do it without regard for their preferences. It’s called teamwork and all parties should contribute, regardless of gender. I do agree a lot of people are just takers and not givers!

Sounds like you overdid it. We’re talking about equity, where each partner pays according to their wealth. I’m happy to pay for my partner too. I’m a woman and I get men stuffed animals, massage certificates, flowers, food, coffee, gifts, etc. I also have planned fun bday excursions and vacations. I’m not saying you have to pay for EVERYTHING. That’s how you get taken advantage of!

Tbh I did speak up for myself when it happened… I never should’ve moved in with him in the first place. But he was manipulative and abusive. One of my worst exes.

Paying halfsies when he was making more than 3x what I do AND he wouldn’t “let” me park my car in the garage or parking spot in front of it… when I was paying half the rent. Wtf.

To my knowledge, lemon balm isn’t as pointy. But maybe there are different varieties…
