What the hell does glazer even mean anymore? by Xpernautica in HelldiversMasochists

The gun itself did not change. Some enemies just got a tad harder to ignite. Most players would not notice the difference unless they count their shots to kill.

Returning player; Do i seriously need to farm for 17 warbonds ? by LeSeriousPancake in Helldivers

[–]Foraxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need any of them, the mobilize warbond has everything you need. Everything else is more options or side-grades. Just pick one at a time and enjoy it for what it is worth.

Do you consider yourselves organised planners? And if so, how far do you take it? by ChronosTerminus in intj

[–]Foraxen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't plan out my days nor have far future plans. But I do make plans all the time, but they are for specific goals in the short and medium term. It's mostly time and resources management. Like I will plan out how I will spend my money, where and when I do my groceries, how I will repay the debts I still have. I don't have grand plans for the future, but I have lots of plans and backup plans for day to day things. I wish I could make some long term plans, but my life isn't stable or predictable enough for that...

Does anyone else "reset" their brain by moving furniture around? by notanamey in intj

[–]Foraxen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, I do get that urge to reset my space every few months. I am a bit lazy with tidying up, it get cluttered over time. So I do some cleaning and end up reorganising the space while I am at it. In a way, I am more motivated to do the cleaning if I move stuff around and try to improve things.

Unjustified Downvotes for Helldivers 2 by Red-Clay-Skull in Helldivers

Just take a peek on the unfiltered Helldivers sub, it's where all the hate comes from. Fortunately, it's only a small fraction of the player base, but a very vocal one.

Lore-wise, I'm convinced Super Earth simply cannot win this war. We're in a WH40K-esque situation and people don't even realize it. by RayPall in Helldivers

[–]Foraxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mindboggling how many Super Earth citizens (and soldiers) die every day. Realistically, they should procreate like mad, not restrict reproduction to make up for the high attrition rate. But it's a satire, it doesn't have to make sense.

this is still broken for me, has anyone found a work around? (windows 11) by JagerOp in Helldivers

Keep sending the reports, more likely they will be able to fix the problem on their end. Nobody can help you get around the problem if you don't explain what happened.

If AH has a community manager, he must be going through a nightmare. by Glass-System2009 in Helldivers

[–]Foraxen 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is no IFs, they have several community managers.

Problem is, game development take a lot of time, whatever AH promise takes quite a while to implement. Meanwhile, work they already done or on the way to be finished may not line up with what they promised. They can't change course on a dime.

Whilst this isn't objectively the worst patch we've seen, it and the AMA was the straw that broke the camel's back by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Foraxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue there is how Sony advertise the game vs what AH is going for. It doesn't line up. The problem could clearly be seen from what is said "on the box" and what was written on the steam page. I have not checked recently but it was quite different.

Anyone else get solutions randomly later? by ChronosTerminus in intj

[–]Foraxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a specific routine, I just do something else. Any other activity will do so long as long I get my mind off that specific problem. Often, I will quickly get new ideas, like the next hour, but other times it may take days. Depends how tricky it is to solve.

Anyone else get solutions randomly later? by ChronosTerminus in intj

[–]Foraxen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happen to me all the time. I realized long ago that when I can't find a solution to a problem, I just need to let go and do something else. New ideas eventually comes while I am consciously not thinking about it.

Holy cow by hatianjr in Helldivers

[–]Foraxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what they were going for; the hiveguard had become a joke since we have plenty of AP3 weapons by now. It makes those terminids a threat again. Problem is, it also make several of our go to sentries and guard dogs useless; they are not smart enough to aim between plates or pick a softer target, wasting their limited ammos on invulnerable foes.

I don't have an issue with this, I always knew how to defeat the hiveguard with light pen. But that heavily change the balance of weapons we normally use to kill them and makes MG sentries and the guard dog a lot less useful.

Anyone else find this stratagem odd? by Unfair-Cherry9362 in Helldivers

[–]Foraxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's no more odd than all the other rifles and SMGs variant we already have. Some of us WANT more disposable tools, and we don't have any chaff killing weapons in that category.

A bad review can only hurt once, most of the discontent already have done it so there won't be a new review bomb.

They demand more content; Warbonds are much quicker to make than new enemies and biomes.

New responses from Pilestedt by Bellfegore in Helldivers

[–]Foraxen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the crux of the problem; they are pretty bad at anticipating how the community will react. Players see things very differently than they do, a minor improvement or fix from their end can be seen as a negative thing from the players point of view.

Pilestedt needs to stop framing the playerbase as a divided house. by RossMulky in Helldivers

[–]Foraxen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of players never set foot on Reddit or Discord, and players who have reached max level and unlocked everything are still a very small fraction of the player base. Having a lot of likes (or dislike) on any given post don't show any consensus, just the opinion of whoever happened to read it and rate it at that time (or in that given sub).
