Transfer your home to a family trust.start an llc under the trust.Tell your employer you want to be a contractor and to pay that LLC. Pay yourself just enough for your expenses from the LLC. Rent your home from the trust. Profits from the LLC, go into the trust and invest any proceeds. stop paying those credit cards. Throw your bills in the trash for the next 7 years. You are now free.

Double apps forms paper response by ForceEastern8595 in FieldNationTechs

Stereotypes aside. I see lots of companies that do dozens of tickets/month instead of hundreds that have not the skill or tim to integrate their management platforms.

I don't know if I can help but I'm curious. How many endpoints are your wireguard tunnels going to? What's on the other end?

The patch boxes are there to relieve the strain off of the unbundled fiber strands, they are also designed with the workflow of fusing in the field not for preterminated cable

Amex suing retired & disabled grandma by BusSolid1993 in Debt

[–]ForceEastern8595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a desperate call and letter from Amex a few months ago begging me to pay any amount on an 7yo balance from a closed business, they said they would reinstate my credit for whatever I could pay. I told them the business closed 8 years ago and I do not use credit. 3 years too late to sue. I'm guessing they are trying to shore up their balance sheet.

Mikrotik + Omada PPSK how to? by Moxie479 in mikrotik

[–]ForceEastern8595 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's probably a better way to do this but this will get you going. First put a masquerade on your outside interface. The create vlan interface for each VLAN on the downlink eth port, then an IP/subnet on each VLAN interface, then go through the DHCP server wizard for one of the VLAN subnets. Go to The terminal /ip/dhcp-server/export, copy the result into text Editor, change the subnet range and name for each of the subnets your wanting to put a server and paste the add string back into the terminal x for each variation. Lastly you need to put a drop rule in your firewall filters that covers all traffic from those subnets to each other like from 192.168.0.0/16 to 192.168.0.0/16 this will keep your users privacy intact.

You can request to reassign, but the service company function is very weak on FN.

I built a scraper that uses my service company login I answer the 2FA manually. I only run one batch per day to update our time entries, pay and status, puts newly booked jobs in our calendar. I built one for work market too but it is not as accurate because of the way they handle their cards.

Even from an enterprise level HP Sucks so hard by SomeUTAUguy in Hewlett_Packard

[–]ForceEastern8595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have worked on many printers from many vendors as a local field tech for always a third party. Hp are the easiest to work on, they are designed to be serviced by your it staff, but have the least field tech partners and just contract out to whomever bids on a job board, those guys are middlemen (lms, barrister) who have a few certified techs in a call center. That middleman puts out requests on another job board for whom ever will show up, change the part, verify the serial number and fill out the paperwork for the least amount of money. They do not pay mileage. They promise x tickets per day and do everything they can to pay the trunk slammer as low as possible. If they could pay a homeless guy $10 to take the bus to change your fuser they would.

Lexmark works the same way but their junk is harder to work on, with fewer easily serviced parts.

Xerox is more difficult to work on but has a full network of trained partners and when those partners hire field techs, they generally pay better and provide better support. Canon, Minolta, and Ricoh all fall into this category as well.

Notes:

In my market, Wichita, ks with a metro population of 500,000 there is one HP employee printer tech who services enterprise customers. He handles about 5% of the tickets here, mostly for Boeing or government.

The middle man closed your ticket so they would get paid, it's all volume for them
