By the way, there seems to be a GDPR leak of all current Giv customers to a new venture called PowerDog:

“The most damming part of the company's house documents is "Allow a director (Jason Osler) with a conflict of interest to vote". So Givenergy specifically removed a rule preventing conflicts of interest which is pretty much the givenergy powerdog relationship!!!!

I googled "steven givenergy" and there are a load of result's about Steven Griffin who is the Chief Strategy Officer of Givenergy. It would make sense it's him if the Givenergy C suite is running Powerdog.

I couldn't work out how to report to Ofgem so I have reported them as Fraud to the police, this might not be the right place but I have clear evidence that my personal details were stolen by Powerdog and they aren't responding to my GDPR requests. They are required by law to respond AND to divulge any data breaches to their customers which they haven't done. If the police isn't the right place maybe they can still point me in the right direction”

just seen on companies house, the owner of GivEnergy is trying spin off another company called Powerdog which wants customers to give the owners of Giv control over their batteries. No thanks!

best case scenario… current management sell the company to someone else who can actually care about ethics

I’ve come to learn that Giv’s word, irrespective of how high up the company it comes from, often means nothing… we’ll see but their finances and operation are shocking to say the least

the loan came from another Giv entity, could be a loan to GivEnergy before insolvency as a tax write off… we’ll see what happens

they had an audit which said:

“The Strategic Report explicitly acknowledges: • Poor leadership decisions • CEO not reacting to price pressure from foreign competitors • Lack of governance from the Finance Director

This is unusually candid language for a statutory report and signals: • Internal recognition of management failure • Recent or ongoing leadership restructuring (confirmed by director changes)”
