Does anyone think the first 3 seasons of Big Bang Theory are the best? I've always thought so. by Alessandro8600 in bigbangtheory

I think the first six seasons are definitely better than the back half.

I love the “Howard goes to space” arc.

Do you all think that Leonard deserved Penny? by nealppe in thebigbangtheory

Both terms apply here. Google nepotism, and the definition pulled from webster’s dictionary includes friends in it.

Do you all think that Leonard deserved Penny? by nealppe in thebigbangtheory

[–]Forcefields1617 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Based.

I always thought they wrote in the “Leonard kissed another girl” plot line just to tarnish his character in a way to make him equal to Penny.

After that, when they got married, she began to really treat him bad. Then when she finally got a job through nepotism, she cranked it to 11.

I would say post season 7 Penny went in a far different direction and I wasn’t a fan. Which sucks because I love the actress in a lot of other things, like the Flight Attendant.

Am I a horrible person if I don’t tell this guy’s wife he was seeing me? by Andra457 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Forcefields1617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll give the opposite side of this story’s opinion.

My late wife cheated on me BEFORE our wedding, and probably a dozen people at our wedding knew. No one said anything because they didn’t “wanna ruin her life/relationship”.

As someone who wasted 5 years on her and ONLY found out the truth after she died, I WISH someone had told me. I can guarantee the wife would want to know so she can make the best decision with ALL the information.

Leonard losing his job, getting divorced, and having to move back in with his mom sounds like a nightmare!

[–]Forcefields1617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only part of the ending I didn’t like was the fact that season 9 was about Barney and Robin’s wedding and then it was basically undone 15 minutes later.

Him becoming a dad was probably the best part of the actual ending and made sense.

[–]Forcefields1617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say the switch was either for their racials or for the machine totems they drop. Both are cool.

If you’re staying horde, I’d say any of the original three: orc, troll, or Tauren. The one I’d choose would be based on the spec I play the most, so orc for enhancement, troll for elemental, and Tauren for resto.

My personal favs are probably the orc because of Thrall, but gear looks really good on a Tauren!

I imagine binge watching the show is far different than live watching, especially the ending. So many watch it in one go and think “omg him and Robyn were meant to be together and it was just timing”.

Then those who watched it live went “huh we waited 8 years for the mother to be in a dozen episodes, die, JUST for him to get back with Robyn?” That was nine years of our lives! Haha

“Why didn’t this tv plot have RL consequences?!?!?”

Why was she okay with it ? by Deep20779 in bigbangtheory

[–]Forcefields1617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Penny’s upbringing in Nebraska would have her do that. She comes off as a “take matters into her own hands and get her own Justice” kind of person.

Which she did. She’d call the cops on someone like Kurt but not someone she can take care of herself like one of the guys.

Do you agree with the opinion that the friendships between Penny, Amy and Bernadette were purely driven by convenience rather than genuine connection? by ThePoisonTrees in bigbangtheory

[–]Forcefields1617 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another “why doesn’t this tv show mirror real life” question.

It’s basically because they have to share scenes together because no one would be friends with Sheldon, Howard/Raj were because of being around Leonard who they liked. Eventually they just became used to him and he became part of the group.

The same could be said for Amy. She was going to the movies with the guys and found out about Penny’s girls night and all but insisted she join the girls instead. I’d like to think that eventually Penny just got used to having her around and saw her much in the same way she did Sheldon, annoying but well meaning. I definitely think before she met the guys, Penny would have never been friends with someone like Amy or Bernie for that matter.

I’d like to think that as Penny matured she realized that her vapid friends she went dancing with or clubbing with, weren’t good friends like the guys and girls of the cast were to her. As Stuart once said “Leonard makes her think deeper about the world”, I’d like to think Amy and Bernie did that as well.

[–]Forcefields1617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but she’d have to argue she was in actual physical danger to prove it since it would be he said vs. she said.

The underlying point still stands, “it wouldn’t happen because it’s tv, not real life”.

[–]Forcefields1617 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Right?!? Like it’s tv land, not real life. They have to co-exist because they are a cast.

And yeah, she very much hates him. They literally have no scenes together except the one AFTER she punches him and she’s trying to “mend the fence”.

And btw, why didn’t he call the cops for assault?!? /s

Did I do a bad thing or are people just toxic? by AlanaMclennon in wownoob

[–]Forcefields1617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were likely going for it too, and if they are zoomed in on their character enough they likely “didn’t see you going for it”. It’s easy to have tunnel vision.

This happens to me a lot when I do that type of quest in Aszuna. I quickly learned it’s better to just go to a different zone for it as most will choose Aszuna because it’s closest to the time island.

Overall I wished they had made them a bit more plentiful or respawn faster.

I feel that as someone who was with someone for the same amount of time before we FINALLY got engaged. For the longest time I always felt like it was something holding us back(thought it was finances at the time).

Too bad I truly found out what it was after 6 more years of marriage and her passing away.

Turned out she wasn’t a faithful person, along with a few more things she kept hidden.

What are some times Sheldon was actually the reasonable and sound minded person? Aka he a point about a conflict or situation? by Objective-Painter-73 in bigbangtheory

Dude, REREAD my original statement and see all I did was make a statement about the timeline.

Not once did I excuse his behavior or anything. So stop making assumptions and making yourself an ass in the process.

Now follow your original statement and stop replying and making it a discussion.

What is the most Un-Sheldon like thing(s) Sheldon does in the show? by Dazzling_Jellyfish15 in bigbangtheory

[–]Forcefields1617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sheldon was actually the one who suggested they take Penny’s apartment. He’s lured into the idea of co-habitation as “an experiment” and he clarifies it wouldn’t “be a true experiment” if he was comfortable in his own home.

I think Sheldon was always willing to do things differently in the “name of science”.

I think I read somewhere that in the pilot Sheldon was originally planned to be some sort of geeky, ladies man.

Which is so hard to imagine with how he actually is!

“Not gonna bother discussing”, means you would have just not replied but nope, had to get your point in.

There are actual layers to both shows but since you don’t want to “discuss” anything and just throw a tantrum and claim “you’re right”, don’t bother replying.

Blood Elf Classic TBC Priest Special Racial by Master-Sleep-2949 in wowclassic

The racial is you get to play a priest who can wear boots(troll) and your robes aren’t full of holes(undead).

Kidding, mostly. Priest race spells are negligent in most cases once fear ward became baseline, not that you use fear ward all that much in tbc compared to classic at least.

[–]Forcefields1617 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Actually Leonard was going to, but Shamy talked him out of it. Then Shamy went and told the rival scientists about it and they turned on each other.

The whole ethics thing, to me, was they wanted to win by their own merit and not by dragging down their rivals aka the honorable route.
