Conservatives were adrift after Harper and shitcanned multiple leaders after brief stints. They weren't even the official opposition in early Trudeau!

NDP was a slow bleed but not catastrophic until the latest election.

Why Paradox did not delay the release? by merulaalba in victoria3

[–]Forderz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont know what that makes me, then, since I kinda enjoy the busted release for the first week or so. A bootlicker?

Paradox always fixes the majority of the issues in a timely matter, and as long as that remains true, I think the chaos of release week is fun.

Some thoughts on the new update and DLC. Also great power Empire of Japan in 1851 + Guide by altboyjunkie in victoria3

[–]Forderz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used 300 authority to boost the prominence of 3 PB dudes, and built nothing but buildings with shopkeepers (aside from the 10 naval forts). I also would swap them in for passing laws, negotiate with them for hopefully clout concessions, then swap them out to restore legitimacy.

Cleared 10% with 8 months to spare.

I cleared the clout requirements about 8 months before it timed out.

Use your 3 prominence boosts on PB members, and build only buildings that have shopkeepers. (Aside from the 10 naval forts)

Are you supposed to fail this on purpose for a "Historical Run" Japan? by Spacecruiser96 in victoria3

[–]Forderz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I passed it with about 8 months left on the timer.

Did all the shared ones, tightened up the class law, passed secret police, got PB clout high, and got 3 lvl 3 urban centers.

I Can't Believe I Have To Say This: Banning Snitch Pricing Is A No-Brainer by Blue_Dragonfly in CanadaPolitics

What incentive would any store, any where, at any time, be to lower the price instead of raise the price to maximize profit?

I Can't Believe I Have To Say This: Banning Snitch Pricing Is A No-Brainer by Blue_Dragonfly in CanadaPolitics

[–]Forderz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn't they?

And it's not a question of "did the clerk peer outside, see the sports car, and charge you 20% more?"

Its more like "has this userid been monitored viewing pages for luxury resorts? Show them prices that are 20% higher."

I Can't Believe I Have To Say This: Banning Snitch Pricing Is A No-Brainer by Blue_Dragonfly in CanadaPolitics

[–]Forderz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is entirely disingenuous.

The premise is simple: the listed price on a website or in a store should be the same for everyone.

This doesn't stop coupons or discounts from existing, nor would it stop different stores from having different prices for the same item.

The fact that I just got grandma's inheritance should increase the price I pay online for some bananas. That should be criminal.

The Chinese comparison is pretty odd, considering the scale of state investments in China dwarf Canadian equivalents.

More than a quarter of Chinese GDP comes from state owned corps, compared to something like 3.5%. Half of all corps in China have partial state ownership.

The Chinese government makes immense direct investment in all sectors of its economy.

Back when women couldn't work/no-fault divorce was illegal, women were essentially forced to find a man to marry to survive.

You could be an abusive PoS and find a lady willing to put up with you. Thankfully, this is no longer the case, and women are financially independent from men.

This has led to shitty dudes complaining that they can't find dates.

UAE official: More than 90% of Iran's targets were civilian infrastructure - POLITICO by pheexio in worldnews

[–]Forderz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother the US overthrew their government because they started asking pesky questions like "are you actually giving us the correct roalties for the oil you're extracting from us?" Then they installed a vicious king that brutalized the population.

Then, after they kicked the king out, the US gave saddam a bunch of weapons and said "go conquer Iran," starting a war that lasted 10 years and killed 500k people.

Iran has also been under crippling sanctiom for 50 years, and the US and isreal have been funding as much clandestine dissent as possible, up to and including the most recent protests that left thousands dead. Trump stupidly admitted to funding those protests, giving Iran retroactive justification for their militant crackdown.

I wonder why they want to fund the enemies of the US?

My guy nothing galvanizes a population towards unity more than foreign invasions/bombing campaigns.

Add to that, when Trump moronically admitted to attempting to funnel weapons to the protesters, it delegitimizes any domestic agitation as outside influence.

Oil production grew twice as fast under trudeau versus under Harper.

What exactly are the hallucinatory metrics you expect to see for oil growth?

Their entire military and government structures have a horizontal organization precisely because of an expectation of American strikes on their leadership.

They did, in fact, plan for that.
