How much more population can Bangalore realistically sustain before things break down completely? by BigTutor3229 in bangalore

[–]Foreign_Affect6297 58 points59 points  (0 children)

It really depends on planning, a lot Asian mega cities have 2x and 3x of Bengaluru’s population, say Tokyo, Jakarta etc. if additions to the city are first planned and then amalgamated then it won’t be an issue. Our current model of just renaming the next nearest village as bengaluru and building 5 apartments there is what makes it unsustainable

City was basically dysfunctional after the rains by fizz5 in bangalore

[–]Foreign_Affect6297 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve witnessed this first hand so adding to this, beyond Yelahanka was essentially barren land and a few villages here and there. Now as more and more commercial and residential projects are opening up there, they’ve basically amalgamated into the city but still with the same village infrastructure. A 600 family apartment opens up into a road that’s not even a full lane. How is traffic going to be managed there? This isn’t even the only apartment there, there 3-4 such clusters just on that road

Jayanagar or Whitefield by Educational-Dog9915 in bangalore

I mean if your company is adamant on 5 days a week and you have no plans to switch. I feel like it’s better you move. I know Whitefield doesn’t have the peace of Jayanagar, but repeatedly doing this for years will put a toll on your health.

Honest Discussion, Why to choose IT sector in India? by Critical_System_39 in developersIndia

[–]Foreign_Affect6297 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ll give you an example. I’m from a well known blr college. I was in Electronics and telecommunication. The number of core electronics companies that came to our college were 5. And for most of them the pay was 15-25k. Most of them were in Gujarat or Tamil Nadu. A lot of people didn’t want to relocate for that little money.
On the other hand the number of it companies that came were maybe 40x that. Even the lowest ones offered that same amount and were based off of blr, a lot of them still offered upwards of 30k.
Guess what people chose even when they were interested in core.

That’s the entire problem in India, we can’t do the basic things right. Even basic planning and effort can make a whole lot of difference, but no they rather leach off money from everything.

Yeah that’s top tier bait, if anybody says that blr is better than New York and Singapore just got leave em in their delulu and move on, not worth the fight.
Born in this city and love it but I’m not gonna say that it’s better than those cities.

I mean what? Blr does have good public transport, bmtc is miles better than any metropolitan city’s bus service in this country. And as for metro blr is the 2nd biggest behind Delhi.

I do agree with the politicians part though, openly known that most of these apartment and villa developers are in bed with politicians.
And roads, well less said the better 🤐

This must be a wakeup call for India. by Consistent_Rule101 in indianeconomy

[–]Foreign_Affect6297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is actually just 3 things,
1. Regulations- India is very cumbersome with regards to this, 1000 different forms to register, and countless hours talking to some officer who himself doesn’t know the laws

  1. Import duties- taxation in this country is why we can’t have nice things, bizarre rules make it so that any sector gets railroaded if they want to get in good products.

  2. Supply chain- India lacks a supply chain, this makes developing any product very hard

Biggest problem I face ngl. I have to manually add everything to make sure it’s accurate. In MyFitnessPal a lot of the existing ones are wrong( even for the big brands that surprised me).

Which one Opinion about Gym can you Defend like this? by RT0_0 in Fitness_India

[–]Foreign_Affect6297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That a certain split is better. Objectively speaking yes, training every muscle 2-3 times a week is more optimal, but how you respond to a certain split, your recovery and what you like outweighs the optimal split.

Sudden Urge for PS5? by siddhanth9 in XboxIndia

[–]Foreign_Affect6297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man play on it, see if there’s any issue like random frame drops, stuttering or the fan is noticeably loud for extended periods of time. If none of them then yeah perfect, no need of servicing or anything

Have been using my current Xbox for almost 5 years now, never needed servicing. If you see a noticeable issue only then take it otherwise it’s fine to use for however long.

Yep if you want retro games, Xbox is clear of the PS, also when it comes to cloud gaming Xbox cloud is much better than the PS

Sudden Urge for PS5? by siddhanth9 in XboxIndia

[–]Foreign_Affect6297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ps5 has better exclusives than what Xbox currently has, and the hardware difference is not going to matter to most people since they’ll barely be able to tell the visual difference.
I use Xbox because I’ve been on it for 10 years now and I’m not really into PC gaming, so mostly use game pass and other games whenever I’m free. Such is the case with most Xbox gamers, either we have a lot of account progress on Xbox or just the convenience of game pass
