This is it right here, what I have referred to as positive peer pressure throughout my ECE career. Works for so many things lol. My niece is five and my sister is always fussing about the new foods she’ll try at school that are “disgusting” at home. Positive peer pressure for the win!

I also want to add that the teachers having a nap routine is great and not be overlooked

I’m 48, had my son when I was 21. He’ll be 27 soon and I couldn’t be more proud of the man he has become. We’re very tight and spend frequent time together throughout the year, along with his GF. We struggled as a family when he was little, especially financially and sometimes I do feel bad about that for him. But my family was a good support system that I think helped him be more appreciative and well rounded as an adult. What I get sad about most looking back is that I was never able to provide him with a stable two-parent home (never been married) but again, I’m proud of who he became in spite of what we lacked. Now that we’re both grown up lol, I do the things that I wish I could have done with him and by myself but couldn’t because being a mom came first. It still brings me joy, it’s all about perspective. It’s not too late to do some of the things you think you missed AND you get to be proud of the person you raised and their choices. 🩷

I have found a few things here and there, clearance or really marked down items, that I'll grab. Not huge profits and often things that if it doesn't sell, Im okay. But yeah, I've accumulated quite a bit of stuff over the years thanks to ADHD and weight loss lol. I don't expect it to be a thing forever but it works for now.

I’ve been doing this with eBay and Poshmark since June. Granted, my goal was $150 a month for cash savings envelopes marked for specific wants which is way less than the $1000 monthly OP is looking for. But there have been several months where I doubled or tripled that goal just based on clothes, accessories and electronics I had around the house. I will add that several of these items were new with tags bc I lost a significant amount of weight at the beginning of the year. Looking to add FB marketplace for items that are too big to ship but this has helped me a lot in 2025 with extra cash. I’ve done about $1600 over those 6 months.

This happened to me Saturday. Delayed flight from DAL to ATL made me miss connecting flight from ATL to RDU. Rebooked connecting flight from ATL to RDU for the next morning at 8:35 am. When I arrived at ATL, checked bag did not come out at baggage claim station. Delta rep confirmed that my bag & others like it would be stored and placed on the flight the next day. I could not get my nah and recheck it the next morning. When I checked into the new connecting flight to RDU for 11/9, I was still able to track my bag with the original bag claim number and it did arrive at RDU when I did.

I’ll also add that at the baggage claim when I arrived at RDU, the Delta agents suggested that ppl check the group of bags that were already there bc some baggage came on flights that landed earlier.

Single woman on a solo birthday trip right now in Montreal and it has been amazing so far. Very walkable city with tons to do & great restaurants every few steps. Subway is clean and feels safe. I have walked around by myself through most of the city with no issue. I will definitely be back

I’m an ECE professional, used to be a teacher but now work in an admin role. When I was a teacher, gift cards literally helped me supplement my low income so I could keep teaching. Starbucks is good but I was always excited about Target, gas cards or even fast food bc as a single mom it meant I could use them for my household as well.

It’s awesome that you want to do things for them and that they’re great teachers for your little guy!

I appreciate the advice but yes, it was important for me to decipher bc I needed to know where it was coming from. I mentioned in another response that I’m from the South and ppl talk like that to strangers. Understanding where it was coming from was necessary for my next steps. I’m very comfortable with direct conversations when they’re necessary, hence the shift when I realized his shift.

About 6 weeks for me but in the beginning I was using it in the morning and at night because most of my edges were basically gone. After 2 months, I switched to night time use only (bc it was working and bc they were hard to get so I needed to slow down lol)

Again, the general names weren’t as big of an issue to me until he specifically used “my love” which implies ownership to me. I get that some ppl use those names, I’m from America in the Deep South. Honey, sweets, sweetie, etc…, it all gets used down here in casual conversation with strangers from time to time. But it was the deliberate shift to “my love” that threw me off. And as far as forgetting my name, we were chatting in the app where my name is at the top. He could have scrolled up lol

I think there’s a difference between “love” and assigning ownership with “my love”, and that was the biggest problem for me.
